PORSCHE CARRERA CUP '90
This is meant to evoke the origins of the Porsche Carrera Cup from the period of 1990 - 1991, when Porsche switched from the 944 to the 911, and eventually led to the creation of a dozen national Carrera Cups and the international Supercup that utilize the modern 911 GT3 Cup platform. But instead, we will be using the early format of the series, when Porsche stripped down the 964 Carrera 2 and gave it just enough racing pedigree to produce a tight championship, first in Germany, then in France, before they launched the Supercup format in 1992. Low power and light weight in a typical narrow body, rear-engined 911 produces a unique handling experience.
Events will feature a short sprint race followed by a reverse grid feature race. There will also be an Overall Championship and an Amateur Championship awarded for this season.
Events will be held on Saturday, with qualifying beginning at 5:30 pm EST
Schedule
All events will feature a 10-minute qualifying session, followed by a 15-minute sprint race. This will then be followed by a 25-minute feature race with a reverse starting grid based on the sprint race. An open practice lobby will also be open for an hour before qualifying to allow for setup. Sprint and Feature races will be held at different times of day. All weather will be variable.

Racing Etiquette
- Everyone participating agrees to take part honestly and to self police themselves on the rules below
- Clean racing is a must for everyone and if a mistake is made, please give the position or time gained back.
- Voice chat is recommended so that clear instructions can be given and drivers can communicate with one another.
- Please obey yellow flag rules, drive with added caution and do not overtake any other cars. Penalties given by the game will be handled on a case by case basis.
- Please keep two wheels on circuit at all times. Curbing is included as the track surface. Specific areas of the tracks that are out of bounds will be specified for each race.
- In the unlikely event you feel that a driver has not been driving honestly, you may report that driver privately to myself and the replay will be investigated. If a penalty is required, it will be the time equivalent of a stop & go in pit lane.
- As this series has open suspension setups, those who might need help should feel free to ask, and those with know-how should assist. You don't need to share your specific setup, but pointing people in the right direction will help everyone.
Sign-ups
In general, the Professional category is for drivers who would normally have an A+, A, or B driver rating, while Amateur will be for drivers who would normally have a C, D, or E driver racing. If your driver skill is viewed as being in the wrong category, you will be reassigned as appropriate.
