Portable racing solution

I am looking for a portable solution and don't really know if this is the product I am looking for or if this is even worth it.

What do you think about the SRW-S1 from SteelSeries?

Are there any other products like this on the market?

I want to buy something that can be playable in racing games, especially in simulators.

Personally I avoid stuff like this at all costs. I have a full rig and a mounted wheel which gives me a full immerse feeling with a tactile design as well. I think Microsoft makes one for the Xbox that has a similar design but it's not my cup of tea either. Good luck with your search.
 
For a portable solution I don't think you'll find anything better than the SRW-S1. You could also adapt a mounted wheel like the DFGT so you can mount the SRW-S1 on it when you're at home, but how you're going to do that to get the buttons on the S1 and the pedals and feedback of the DFGT working together without scrapping the S1's internals (rendering it pointless) is beyond me.

I do have a G27 and a homemade Cockpit, but i want to buy this product for my laptop. Wishing to use it on roadtrips or at work where there is nothing to do.
 
Today I have ordered the SRW-S1 from a local store at about 80 Euros.
After a week of hard research I concluded that it was the best portable solution.
