I am surprised we have not heard of the inclusion of the LMP2 car that Ordonez and crew piloted at Le Mans. The 370Z for Dubai would be great too.

Do you guys think they will be included in a future update..or maybe a dlc. My opinion is that we might see them in an update. The cars added with updates in the past have all been closely related to PD and this would follow that pattern.

This topic is intended to evoke purely wild speculation. Lets keep the speculation to GT Academy vehicle inclusion only.

I would love seeing that LMP2 car in the next update or so, I guess it's just a matter of acquiring the license with the particular maker and sponsors.

smart thinking, and I too would love to see those cars as future DLC. Heck, if they win the Dubai 24h, PD might give them to us free :)

Well, that is kind of what I was saying. All the free release update cars have been intimately related to the game in one way or another. One GT Academy related car has already been free. The other ones might be as well. It could happen.

I have a feeling they haven't modeled it yet is probably because the cars are back at the oreca shop receiving maintenance/upgrades. Or the racing team itself is concerned with secrets leaking out...They are the reigning lmp2 champs after all.

When the Schulze came out, I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure it's in the works, if not for 5 then at least for 6.

They should have added these cars months ago, or at least had them ready for the first DLC pack. The fact they didn't suggests to me they're either not planning on putting them in or they are and it'll be ready in about 4 years.

It's definitely a good guess. They're meaningful to Kaz/GT in the same way the Schulze GT-R is—and that got added to the game.

The Schulze GT-R was a new livery and minor interior/exterior changes to a pre-existing model. This would be a whole new car from scratch. Apples to oranges.

No question it would be more complicated.

To use another example, the 86 is a new model and PD has close ties with it throughout it's developement. It's many iterations and the movie or two were great hype and marketing for the car..granted, to a targeted audience. The final car was included in an update for free.

I was just pointing out that vehicles that have been closely related to PD in one form or another have been consistently released as a free update. Not a far stretch that this trend might be continued.

This car has been around since what, February/March? They've had plenty of time to get it modeled, same for the 370Z.

They could have also added one of the tracks they've raced on. But nope, nothing.

Or where the GT Academy program takes place? *cough*Silverstone*cough*

Certainly. Considering that two cars and a track, as you suggest, would take much more effort it is possible that I am incorrect in my assumptions and the entire shebang will be released as a dlc! All rejoice!

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I would only imagine such a car would come into the game. Why wouldn't it? All in time we'll see.

They were busy with the first batch of DLC. Were they not? :)

The only problem I can think of is what cars will this car compete with, being and LMP2 and not LMP1.

Never thought about that tbh. I hope PD would implement them in the games. Would love to drive a LMP2 car in GT5 :D.

Since March?

We don't know how long it took to make Spa and Kart Space from scratch. Much more to it then 6 months for a car.

Well we know Spa was already in some form of development before the game was released thanks to those translated screenshots, Kart Space could have been as well but even if it wasn't there has still been ample time to model these cars is the point I was making.

I certainly don't think so as they were busy with other things.

That LMP is gorgeous, also the 370Z too.
I'd love both please.

I'm surprised Skyline's have taken precedence over either to be honest.

You don't think they had time to model one or two new cars in the last nine months on top of whatever else they were modelling?

Fixed it for you.

If they don't they will have to expand keep up with competition

Agree, the 370Z represents one of the best updates to a car in recent memory.

Also, if anyone has any tips on quoting multiple people using the app I would appreciate it. I hate using individual replies but I just cannot find it easier way to do it.

Also, I'm surprised that the Peugot 908 LMP1 cars from last year's Le Mans aren't in GT5 either, as they're sponsored by Gran Turismo and Playstation.

What car would pit against the signatech nissan? Unless PD also include other car in the same class.

370Z dubai is more likely :)

That is a total lie....we do not know the state of development of Spa in GT5 by those screenshots but only that PD had taken photos and had a folder named Spa. Please do not post wrong information. They could have started development on spa a year before it released or when you said it is unsure.
PD said two years to model a track.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. The Pescarolo 01 Evo featured heavy GT and PlayStation sponsorship and was not included in GT5. The Signatech Oreca might be included in a future update, but I wouldn't wait for it.

+100

All the things that are part of the 'Real World' Gran Turismo should be in the game. Come on. I just don't get it...without GT, would there be a GT Academy? And as far as cooperation with Nissan...jeez, how many more Skylines, Zs and GT-Rs do we need to make these guys happy?

Silverstone would be great and it would have at least 3 existing layouts to choose from, besides the fact it is an iconic circuit like Spa, Monza or the 'Ring...Please PD
