I was wondering if it was possible to add some kind of switch to the clutch that would interrupt the gas pedal signal so it thinks you took your foot off the gas. I hate how it always gets stuck in nuetral.

Interesting thought...

If you wanted to take the mechanical route, all you would need is a microswitch the clutch would trigger when pressed.

However, there are other, less destructive ways to accomplish this. What would you be willing to pay for something like this and how long would you be willing to wait?

good idea..
And it is possible using a relay switch of the gas, activated by the clutch.
But its not only clutch/gas, you need another input from the shifter also, lets not forget about that.

I think the easiest solution would be a switch on the clutch that cut the signal to the gas. If the black wire is a reference than that would be the wire to run to the switch. When the clutch is pressed the gas pedal should act as if your not pressing it.

One issue with this is that you would no longer be able to properly heal toe shift...

I think it's pointless to heel toe in GT5,you can't even slip the clutch and drive normally without it going to neutral. Plus it's faster just use the paddle shifters. It would just be nice to have some clutch slip built in so you could launch properly.

The best solution would be if they fixed the programming. Has anyone gotten any responses to complaints about this?

I find it basically unplayable with the shifter.

I've only used the G27 with GT5,do any other wheels have this problem with GT5? I mean,is it a GT5 problem or is it the switches in the G27 that makes this happen?

Shut up!
