possible to play U.S game in Japanese ps2?

I just got new ps2(smaller size) Japnese vesion.... is it possible to play U.S game or dvd? I know theres ways you can play Japanese game in U.S. ps2... I need some help... thanks!

You would need to modify your PS2 in the same way you would modify a US PS2 to play Japanese games.

Yes. You need to install a modchip on your PS2.
Do a search on it. The information is endless.

There´s modchips for the smaller PS2 already, but people have been saying it´s causing problems on the console, because it heats too much.

So think twice before modding your PS2, see if there´s reliable modchips to it.
