Block of chocolate, and that's it. Bought the iPoo I posted in the SOYLP thread myself today (Boxing Day) though, so you could consider that a present I guess :)

lacoste sweater
eb games $20 gift card
A "The Beatles" book
leather jack from parents
a lot of clothing from family friends

pretty much it! :)

What's the Title of the book? I have "The Beatles" by Bob Spitz, it's an amazing biography and follows through most of their early career really well.

From,
Chris.

It seems I've gone backwards.

AMD Phenom X3 8600
(2.3GHz, 2MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
2GB memory
320GB hard drive
512MB ATI Radeon HD 4350

No complaints for £250.

Oh, and then I bought an unsensibly large Dell monitor to match.

While it was at £127, thank you very much. So I'm now looking at GTP in 1080P. Which is scary, quite frankly.

(Quick note: I haven't abandoned the Mac. I just fancied a cheap desktop to play about with and gradually upgrade, and that was sitting in PCWorld with an unfeasibly low price tag.)
(Oh, and W7 is on the way courtesy of the tech squad or the geek guys or whatever the hell DSG are calling them now...)

I didn't do bad this year...probably because I've been out of the country for the past three Christmases, so this is the first Christmas I got presents since the last one I was home for. Anyway I got.

Xbox 360 racing wheel - Never really played with a wheel before, but I'm having tons of fun learning to use it on Forza 3 and Dirt 2.
Aquafresh teeth whitening trays
$50 in gamestop gift cards
$25 Marshall's gift card
A new lamp for my room
Old Navy sweater
Adidas gym pants
Bottle of Hugo Boss cologne

I got quite a few things from relatives and "Santa" (My little brother still believes).

I got WoW: Wrath of the Lich King, and Assassin's Creed 2 from "Santa"

From my parents I got an Aftermath Broxa Evolution airsoft gun (modeled after an MP5).

And some random stuff in my stocking, chocolate, some clothes, etc.

OH! I almost forgot. My parents got me a freakin' Slap Chop! It was a gag gift, but it was so funny, and it actually works ha ha.

Got to get the wheel fitted professionally as it's got room for the factory airbag and I don't fancy blowing my head off trying to do it myself!!!
I'd just like to say as long as you pull the battery off ahead of time, there's no danger of blowing your head off, and otherwise it's like 2 screws and a plug.

I just don't want you to waste your money.

I got:
6 Tins of various model paints/clears
2 Brushes
An ARMax Evo for PS2
Chocolate
and $140 with which I bought:
A new Billabong Belt.
Jeremy McGrath's Supercross World for PS2 ( A old game but it was new from EBGames)
2 pairs of Boardshorts
And 10 Hotwheels Cars which I am currently customising.
Oh...and the privelage of watching my 3 year old sister opening her presents.

Cheers, Cougar23

I got some stuff, mainly stuff I need for uni in the coming months, but parents are putting $600 towards 4 days in Melbourne in the coming month, and they are getting me a powerful 17" laptop (haven't decided, maybe a thread to follow) also for uni, so I'm happy to hold off :D.

I did get GTPSP, however, and I'm suprised how playable it is - its a truly great game that totally surpassed my extectations.

I'm considering Polorized Flak Jackets XLJs:

but I need to try them on first. They clock in at $200. Think I could hold out for the Juliets instead? :p

Flak Jackets FTW.

I don't like the XLJ lenses very much, but I've noticed times where I think they'd provide better protection. You'll definitely want the polarized lenses. And seeing that you're paying $200 already you may want to look at getting custom ones (or those are custom?). There's a longer wait, mine took 13 days before being shipped, but its worth it.

Dale Jr stuff(Sunglasses,T-Shirts)
Some XBOX360 games and some other stuff

Logitech G25
Top Gear DVD's
Money
Vouchers
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Happy with all those, loving the new G25. :D

I didn't get anything besides a week's worth of 20-hour-smoked pork. Thanks go to my Uncle and his "No point in using the smoker unless it's full" philosophy.

$110 from various people
Chocolates
A cordless screwdriver (not a drill, a cordless electric screwdriver, which came with heaps of different heads)

Not really an impressive list compared to almost everyone else here is it?:p

Might get some sunnies for a starters with my money, just some cheapies, but the other $100? Hmm. I don't want to spend it on a new PS3 controller just because my current one stopped calibrating properly. MAYBE clothes, but meh, we'll see.....

This is a list of the things I received, the things I received are on this list:
  • PlayTV
  • Apple Magic Mouse
  • T-shirt x2
  • Shorts
  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • $250 (all up)

I also bought myself Bob Dylan's album Blood on the Tracks on Christmas Day, if that counts for anything.

I dunno mate, out of the $300 that I got, $100 is mine after already being spent before I got it. I got mugs, tupperware (spellelleing? :dunce:) and all that under the tree. Not very exciting, explosive or high-octane, but as I said, all for uni, but most of my friends got a 32gb touch at least lol. I'll wait for my laptop in peace :D.

I imagine that's for one of two reasons:

a) Wenders has annoyed you so much you want to annoy her right back, or,
b) Wenders likes Bob Dylan and therefore you do by proxy ;)

Before it came out
A box of candies
A hug
a nice trip to the mountains to spend a christmas lunch with my mom and her new husband.

Probably closer to A. Best defence against Nickelback.

Now that all the stuff from the extended family is done let me think here.

  • 100$ Canada Savings Bond from my Grandparents
  • My brother made me a clay plate at school
  • A Darwin Awards book, and some chocolate from my Aunt & Uncle
  • A pair of camoflouge gloves from a different Aunt & Uncle
  • An Honoured Montreal Canadiens Hockey Hall of Fame book
  • A Slap Chop as a joke from my parents
  • An Aftermath Broxa Airsoft gun
  • A jacket with the logo of my local minor hockey team
  • Assassin's Creed 2
  • World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
  • Chocolate and Candy from various people
  • A "Brew your own rootbeer" kit

And that's about it. :D

Among others presents my girl-friend gave me "A-TEAM season 1" / YEEEEHAAA.....
"Ich liebe es, wenn ein plan funktioniert!" (Hannibals main sentence in German. Means: "I love it when a plan works!" Does anybody know what he says in the English version?)

Well I got:
Replacement blades for my razor and other necessities
$70 in gift money
$25 with the choice of three different movie theaters
Four t-shirts(I never wear long-sleeve shirts)
Three pairs of jeans(30 bucks each because I'm too tall)
640GB WD 2.5" laptop drive for my NES PC(got this early since old 60GB HDD was failing)
Leather coat(got this early for use during Winter)
Assassins Creed II(early because I wanted to badly play it)

I'm happy with what I got this year and I make use of the leather coat almost everyday.
