If you mean the high slope pic its just a perspective. Go far from the slope and zoom as much as you can and go on the ground.

Ah. Ok. Looks like the street lights (or should I say track or runway lights) are disappearing. Draw distance in GT5 is weird.

This is a recreation of the Top Gear, Series 10, Episode 3 (2007) "Veyron vs Plane".
The Veyron must charge one mile down the runway and back. The RAF Eurofigther Typhoon must take-off and reach an altitude of one mile and return. "The last one to finish is a vegetarian..."
