Post a pic and or story about your track car, or your favorites that youve ridden and or driven in! Ill start off with two Camaros owned by my friend who I go to the track with. The yellow 67 Camaro took 2.5 years to build and is all custom with C5 Z06 underpinnings. LS6 powered with 625 HP at the crank and about 550 at the wheels. It is street legal as well! The 69 car is more original and is what he lets me drive on occasion. Both are amazingly fast and I believe that the 67 runs about 1:35 second laps at laguna seca if I remember correctly. Also, the rear end on the 67 is modeled after the 2010 Camaro and is the only one in existence.

EDIT: Never mind....

anyway, nice to see your friends cars! Why do I suspect a white/green Cortina to show up soon?

My track car:

It's never been on a track but don't count it out yet - it has been to the parking lot where they used to run the CART Denver Grand Prix.

Only tracked the TL, once. Si will become the track car this summer.

Friend took these while we were out on the track in the TL.

1) In the paddock.
2) Coming around Ricochet.
3) On the straight after Tombstone.
4) Over looking the straights before and after Buzzard Neck, Horseshoe, Boot Hill, and Tombstone.

I've taken Mom's Shadow to a track, mostly to prove whether or not it was faster than Dad's Neon. Results were inconclusive.

Islero? On a track? Wow. Toronado should see this & make a remark.

DAMMIT I saw him viewing the thread so I said that and he got his in before me. F!!!

HR31 GTS Coupe "Clara"
Silvertop RB20DET (from a 32)
Garret T03 (from a 33)
R33 RB25DET 5-speed
2-way mechanical LSD
Haltech E6K standalone ECU
Custom FMIC
700cc injectors
MAP sensor replacing the AFM (AFM is now sitting on a shelf in the shed)
Bilstien shocks all round
Bilstien Springs up front
Koni Springs in the back (no idea what rate for front or rear, they were in it when I got it)
3" Stainless cat-back Trust exhaust

148.3rwkw untuned @ 12psi(ish)

Needs a bigger fuel pump (Bosche 040, the biggest that will fit in the tank) and a tune. The diff also needs looking at, but it still hangs the tail at the drop of the noise pedal.

Garret T28 (from a 33)

R33's don't have T28's (S14 & S15's have T28's), R33's are T3 sized.

Nice cars everyone by the way, interesting to see the Zeta Camaro taillight style on the 67 👍

Thats what I meant. Shut up, I'm high on pain killers.

Hot R31, looks like a really nice car.

That yellow thing is awesomely mean, incredible car!!! any pictures of the buildup, any good pictures of the car? Damn it's insane, every inch of it (but I dont like the rear taillight panel, but I can forgive that) ,I love those raw hardcore looking track muscle cars.

Tell your friend his car is awesome, and give me MORE pictures. MO-RE.

haha, thanks, its a great car, ill see if i can dig up some more pics. Heres one of his close friend's 67. They built the cars side by side, they both of LS6's, this black one has less HP but weighs 300lbs less.

I've ridden along in buddy's Neon ACR before with him for several track days. It's got quite a bit of suspension work done to it and a few minor engine upgrades. The car sucks to ride around in during daily applications but on a track it's awesome.

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnggggggggggg

The only thing the other one lacked was black paint. This compensates. more of this PLEASE. ple-ase.

MORE OF BOTH ACTUALLY. Hell if I ever go there can I shoot them?

Haha, sure, if were there than take as many pictures as you want. Both cars routinely are at Laguna Seca and Thunderhill in Willows. Both are also associated with Hooked On Driving, which is by far the best track program for beginners and intermediate to advanced drivers.

Nobody has ever taken an action shot of my car, but I've got one of it parked next to a cone...

Track car... Daily driver... All 'round taker of abuse.

(And it's taken it well, thus far)
