Ok...
Drift 👍
Semi-racing 👎 (What's the point of it?)
N-tires 👍
S-tires 👎 (All set-ups IMO should be S-tire Compatible. Or else N-tire set-ups should work well as S-tire set-ups)
High HP 👎 (This could go under racing)
Original Suspension 👍
Well,
The idea of "
Car-Track-Specifics" goes beyond those names. 👍 👎
Those were just examples of the various author-created-titles for the "specifics" of a setup.
Which, btw, I think works rather well for all of the categories listed (including "
any name desired").
And there should be more specifics, such as Rally, Drag, and Nurburgring. A set-up optimized for a flatter track will be jolted and bumped around on the Nurburgring. And there's hundreds of diehard Nurburgring fans, too, so the settings will be of some use to them.
Specifics like Rally, Drag, and Nurburgring will become self-evident with the "
Car-Track-Specifics" approach. 👍
Plus, using the "specifics" will allow us to go beyond what is implied by "track" alone and move into the more specific areas of Drift, "tuner reproduction", part specific builds, and any other "user created details" about the setup.
For example, you ask "what's the point" regarding semi-race suspensions?
Well, I personally really enjoy using the cheaper semi-race setup while still achieving detailed custom settings.
Also, it serves well for any of the "stock" cars that come with a Semi-race or Sports suspension already equipped (which is a valid point considering how many people love to run stuff like the stock Yellow bird on the ring).
Also, the great thing is...
The "specifics" in the Car-Track-Specifics is based on the idea of the creator designating the "specifics" of the setup.
The GTP could limit the categories since there are so many to use.
This could also help users who wish to select a setup but don't personally know the creator or what to expect based on the creator's style.
I really think "Car-Track-Specifics" is the way to go.
Example, ...
My new entry in the settings page. 👍

Honda S2000 Type V| Deep Forest| WRS 39
Listed alfabetically just like the others. 👍
What do you all think?
(btw, I'm still not well versed with the way to do formatting on the Wiki)
(a tutorial might be a good idea for someone to write somewhere down the road).
