Why is posting pictures disallowed, or disallowed for some members, or is it only the formatting & linking to pictures which are not uploaded via own computer that is disallowed? One or a few posts got deleted where I included a picture in a thread.
I haven't been able to find via searching this forum's FAQ or AUP to grasp specifically why the picture posts were disallowed.

There is no prohibition on posting images.

Post are not deleted for including images. If you have had a post deleted, it will not have been for including an image, but for another reason. Where an Alert is not set to notify you of a reason for deletion, you can contact the staff - privately - for clarification.

@Jordan - Since the recent update to the site, whenever I upload a picture, it rotates it 90 degrees. Is there a solution besides having to lightly edit the picture in some way before uploading, as that's quite inconvenient.

Device - up to date Galaxy S25 Ultra, Chrome browser.

Yeah, looks like this is a confirmed bug in the latest version of the forum software.

I've applied a temporary patch which should resolve the issue until the next update. You will likely need to clear your browser cache to pull down the updated JavaScript. I wasn't able to replicate this so can't test it, but let me know if you continue to see the problem.

Testing.
