Postponed 2 weeks. And moved to 10pm EST. Not enough people showed up so its postponed 2 weeks because it won't interfere with hyperspeeds drag event. Also be here!
Welcome to Drag Battles Season 1​
It's the biggest best and only Drag League on GTPLANET. Do you call yourself a pro tuner? Do you want to show how good you are at Drag Tuning this is it. If you win you can be considered one of the best ever (well depends who joins) that ever dragged on GT5. So are you the best?

History
This is the first season ever for Drag Battles. I came up with this idea one day because I was sick of all this Noobs with GTR's Le Man's and other noob cars. Also another issue was all of them were at indy. So I thought of this as pro drags at different tracks. I think it will be fun and become a big GTPLANET league. As like Formula Drift in GTP drifting. So join, invite friends get the most people you can. And let this become a fun season.

Overview​
Each week there will be an event. Enless stated otherwise. Each week will be different track and theme. By theme I mean like the car class, HP limit, Minimum weight. That's what makes this different from any other drag event on GT5.

Setup​
This is a points based season. You will get points for placing at each of these events. You will get points for 1-14. I will talk about that in the points section. But 14 people will qualify for the event. So if more than 14 are going for it not all will qualify.
Qualifying​
So only 14 people get in. Leaves two spots for myself or someone else to run the event in the room. When we get mire than 14 contestants we will have like a round robin. If you lose twice you don't qualify. You win you are automatically in. I will pick randomly for who you qualify against. I will post the day before who qualifies who and when. I will say who joins the room first and then I will have them race. When they are done the other people will join the lobby. They will race each other. Then I will ask losers to stay and race to see who makes the event. All you have to do is win 1.
Event Setup​
Once qualifying is over we will have about 5 to 10 min to do whatever to give me time to look at brackets and get everybody in. Then once it starts I will say who's up then on deck so you guys can line up. It's a ghost launch event so you go when they ghost. It is a two and out tournament style set up. You win you move on you lose you go to losers bracket. Each pair will be 2 out of 3. You have to win 2 of them. We will do this for the whole competition. Ask if you have any questions. I will post brackets of what happened after the comp here.

Points​
Points will be as following
1st- 14 points.
2nd- 13 points
3rd- 12 points
4th- 11 points
5th- 10 points
6th- 9 points
7th- 8 points
8th- 7 points
9th- 6 points
10th- 5 points
11th- 4 points
12th- 3 points
13th- 2 points
14th- 1 point
You can get 1 bonus point for every person you refer to this league. Just say who referred you. 2 bonus points will be awarded to the car that gets voted for best matching the theme. So be creative. Also 2 bonus points if you don't lose at all. Even 1 of the three at all. So you can win up to 18 points. Can you do it and be on our hall of fame?

Theme: American Muscle new and old
Max HP- 450hp
Minimum weight allowed- 1350kg
Prize: Speed 12

You start at a stripe behind the third Magnet Marelli sign. The sign is after the first shadow on the straight away after the last turn. Finish is at the back side of the shadow from the large crosswalk at the end of the pits. The front is angled while the back of the shadow is straight across. Any questions just ask me.

Mainly v8 American cars. Has to be American car for first round. Will upload the last 9 rounds later when I get on the computer. And yes american cars.

Lol. If you can get on though just let me know. And dream that sucks. Maybe if you have a sunday off you can drop in.

Also as a heads up I may push this back a week if we can't get enough people so keep checking this thread.

Sorry guys for the inconvenience if you already tuned. But I am lowering weight limit to 1350 kg. 1450 seemed to high. Thanks.

No not technically. I'm opening up a room to pratice in 5 min. Join for tuning and see what other people have. Lol. Also you can use any car. I don't have to know.
 
New rule. No rally cars. By the way it can be AWD If it is a muscle car. The theme is NEW AND OLD MUSCLE CARS. So remember that. Sorry if you tuned AWD ir non muscle cars.

OK. But is ot legal to hunt at dark? It's at 8:00. And probably won't get going until about 8:15.

We left at 5 when it got dark. You can hunt your own land whenever you want.
 
Also you get 2 bonus points for having the car closest to the theme. Includes paint. People will vote on it. So have your car look like a muscle car.

Sleeping? HA. They are most active at night. I sat outside in the same spot for 13 hours today and didn't see a single one. You know why? Because the hundred other dudes pushed 'em into a corn field. So why would they leave when all they have to do is stand up to eat?

That said, tonight the farmer is cutting the corn lots and flushing them out, my buddy shot at one of three when the farmer started. That's good, 'cause now they flood to the woods...and since everyone and their mom fills the woods (no bull, within 4 hours I counted 83 gunshots), the deer will get spooked, and run through hedge rows where no one sits. So guess where I'm ploppin' my fat ass again :sly:

I got it all figured out. Every year it plays out like this. It ain't nothing to bag 10-15 of them by the end of the season.
