POT replacement for the G29 pedals for GT Sport usage

I've been having problems with the G29 pedals for over a year. Now I have already done everything that I could that isn't replacing the POTs. I've cleaned them multiple times, and switched the clutch and accelerator as a last resort. But they seem to have given away for real this time.

So I've been looking up ways of replacing them with another POTs, but the prospects aren't really good as it can be seem in this thread:https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/logitech-g-wheel-pots.385044/

The Hall sensors were an option, even though they're quite expensive. However I fear that the braking could become way too hard to get right, as I'm not aware if the linearity changes too much, becoming too steep for proper modulation.

So I wanted to know how it faired with people that have done this mods to their pedals.

Do they register properly on GT Sport? Would you consider not doing it and saving money to get another wheel?
