Hi all,

My mother owns a 2008 Ford Escape which she bought pre-owned back in 2008. It's a great car, but there is one issue that has always bugged her, even though it is fairly miniscule. Since she is out of town this week, I figured I'd try to fix it in the mean time.

As with all modern cars, the Escape has power windows. But on the front drivers side window, there is an auto option, where if you pull the switch up/down all the way, the window it will automatically go up/down without you having to hold it.

However, this feature doesn't work. It won't go automatically, you just have to hold it like any other window. Anyone have any ideas why this may be?

Yeah, I've tried alot of different types of pressing. Could it be just some faulty wiring? I doubt it considering it is a 2008.

Faulty button most likely. 👍

Also, some cars have an option to disable it! A child safety feature thing! Check the manuel if possible?

Nevermind, it actually does work, but just going down. I understand why it wouldn't work going up. Don't want to get anything stuck in there. 👍

Locked.
