Sorry if this has already been posted (done a search and couldn't find it), but does anyone else get a weird glitch at the rolling start of a race online when cars go off and crash?

Happened to me once in Fuji. Was sitting there as normal in the queue waiting for the race to start and next minute I spin and end up hitting a wall. Don't know if its lag but can be really annoying as it enables players to gain higher places unfairly.

It is indeed lag. I had the interesting situation at Suzuka the other day with lots of lag before the race started. Then when the race started, every single other car apart from myself just coasted and I passed the whole field, got around the first corner before it said the host had disconnected. Now that's what you call a network problem!

I had a funny experience in Suzuka also. When finally the loading screen with all the racers vanished (took a litle longer than usual), my car and another one were in the sand just after the chicane. So, that's where I started that race :dopey:

Sometimes I get bumped from the car behind and get launched into the car in front of me. One time on DR i got launched from 7th to 2nd....I kinda felt guilty so I let people catch up.

Yep, happened to me on Daytona Road the other day, I got hit before the race even started. Wreaked havock in the starting grid.

LMAO..hahahah

I remember a tournament race at Fuji where GTP_Brakefade (Threshold) started in the grass. He was in the proper grid stop but suddenly teleported off the side of the track.

This used to happen a lot on the expert Daytona Speedway races, where the races were always packed and the host almost always had a bad connection. It doesn't seem as bad as that in any of the new races, though.

I experienced quite a bit of lag last night. The worst was in a race where I was third on the final lap. I passed the second car on the outside at the first corner as he seemed to slow and then passed the first car at the end of the esses (he was in the sand pointing the wrong way). Up the hill I am in first, then through Degner there is a jump in the system and I am back in third 5 seconds behind the first place car. :nervous:
There were also a number of races with cars jumping positions etc in the rolling start.
