Today my retailer informed me that the preorder precision pack bonus they promised was not meant for the anniversary edition (which is total nonsense) so I'm not going to get the code. Obviously I'm pretty pissed about this because I've had a similar problem with GT5 which prevented me from getting the chromeline cars.

Is there anybody that has a spare code for the precision pack (europe)?

If they've taken your money and you have the physical game in your hands, they are in breach of contract if they do not give you what they promised even if what they promised wasn't right.

And it was - every EU preorder from a participating retailer, 15AE or Standard version, gets the Precision Pack. If they're giving it away for the standard version they must give it for the 15AE too.

A call to their head office and your local Sony office is in order.

I've been emailing with their support since release day. I have sent them links to the preorder details on the GT site and have a screenshot from the page when I ordered (with precision pack on it) but all they offer me is a coupon for 5 euro's :( I'm totally fed up with this company and said they can send the 5 euro's to charity as I'm not buying anything from them ever again.

Will contact sony about this maybe the can send me a code.

That is bizarre that the retailer is being so tight on the codes. When I bought my (not pre-ordered) regular edition from Bart Smit, there was a huge pile of code cards behind the counter. Im not sure whether they were the Precision or Velocity codes though - one was in the case the whole time, the other was added from the pile.

Best of luck with Sony.

The retailer is Saturn. Saturn and Media Markt are the same company. Yet a friend of mine recieved his code with the Anniversary Edition from Media Markt :). They probably ran out of codes and try to get me to shut up :)

After weeks of emailing with the support of Saturn and Sony the end result is no code for me... Guess I will never get those 5 cars...

To be honest, it sounds like the company is pulling a fast one and doing whatever they can to get you to give up (maybe they plan on selling the codes separately?)....the longer they fob you off, the more likely you will say "screw it" and give up. Companies that do this probably keep on doing it as people don't have infinite patience to deal with their crap. If it was me, I would keep on at them (especially with the support of Sony)...what have Sony done about it? and I would threaten them with legal action citing breach of contract, false advertising, even fraud (trying to say something is not part of the product when it clearly is)...I would contact my local Trading Standards office (do you have an equivalent in the Netherlands?). Have you been emailing the local office of the company or the head office? I would also threaten to go to the media and expose their "dodgy and illegal business practices". I admit that I don't accept any crap from companies and refuse to let them bully me, albeit by whatever means and I will do what is necessary to receive what I have legally and contractually paid for. Hope you get it sorted eventually

I have been emailing with the retailer and Sony since the release date of the game. At first I was having the attitude you discribe but after more than a month of emailing I'm about to give up. Mainly because at both sides there was still confusion about the codes and which edition it should belong to.

The retailer finally said it was a mistake and the pack was only for the normal edition of the game and offered me a 5 euro gift card (!). Sony first said it was part of de 15th edition (which it clairly is not!) and now claimes they are not in possession of any of such codes and retailers are responsible for the delivery to buyers so I should contact them instead.

I would not go as far as you with threats because at the end of the day it's just 5 virtual cars. I'm seriously annoyed about it but I will enjoy the game without them. I will keep my eyes open for people offering spare codes though because I'm not willing to pay for it to be honest.

Yeah, that's fair enough. Agreed that it's only virtual cars but it is still a breach of contract and, therefore, illegal....but it's difficult when even Sony aren't being helpful or clear.

I've got a spare one. Let me know if you want it.
