Just to go a bit further on this. You would end a spoiler section by doing:

[/ SPOILER ]

but without the spaces. If lowercase works then that would be okay too, I just use capitals which I know works.
Thanks
When I tried to make and example in my post I ended up having a spoiler tag in a spoiler tag in a spoiler tag…🤣
until I found a way to mark it without triggering one 🙃
Thanks you also @Famine, i’ll know what to do next time it happens 🫡

Anything you stick between spoiler tags is put into a spoiler block, yes. You can also use an ispoiler tag which leaves it in view but blurs it out unless you click on it - although I don't find that as useful for larger images (including YouTube thumbnails).

Whatever you want to hide goes here

Although I think this particular bag is now bereft of felines.
Gotcha, thanks! I didn't know about the ispoiler, that's cool.

Well, evidently there will be no update.

Personally I think these hiatuses hurt the game. Both PD and players are at fault here:

  • PD needs to steady their content delivery, as delivering a good update in one month does not justify leaving the following month empty
  • Players need to realize not every update will be a huge one, as resources aren't unlimited

Unfortunately we live in this poisonous era of influencers and hype where EVERY update needs to be an absolute banger or else the game is losing momentum or even dying. I'm fine with two or three big updates every year if the others aren't so hot. On the other hand, I'd also like content every month... Doesn't even have to be new car and/or new track, maybe an update to Le Mans for example.

Speaking of the Chaser, I'm pretty sure Kaz mentioned it by name when he said interest in those types of cars today is limited and youngsters are more into SUVs and EVs. Assuming the leak is true, clearly PD still acknowledges the value of these classic JDM cars most people learned of through Gran Turismo. The GT fanbase is very diverse and it's difficult to cater to everyone. To me, the Chaser is 90s sports sedan, so a win. Others may resent the lack of modern sportscars...

If the Caterham does come it'll be an experience, that's for sure. Not the quickest, but enough to be competitive against the X-Bow and similar cars.

I prefer the Ioniq 6 over the Ioniq 5. Looks more like a modern Saab 900 SPG which is one of my favourites of all time and a car I wish I’d owned before leaving the USA.

More than the cars though will be if we see updates to SOPHY in cars and tracks use.

Anyway, with no update this month, and assuming the update is in the third week of August, that would be one of the longest gaps between updates since Spec III, and usually, it's reasonable for it to be somewhat larger than a regular update.

For reference, Spec III was announced September 24th last year and arrived on December 3rd, which was a 70-day gap.

Assuming the update drops August 20 the soonest, it would also roughly be that long. 1.70 was released on June 11th.

So my revised prediction:

August/1.71:

New brands:
Cadillac (USA)
Caterham (GBR)

Seven cars
  1. BMW M4 Competition Coupe '21 - Brand Central
  2. BMW M4 GT3 '22* (EVO kit available in GT Auto) - Gr. 3 / Brand Central
  3. Cadillac V-Series.R '23 - Gr. 1 / Brand Central
  4. Caterham Seven Super Light R500 '12 - Brand Central
  5. Hyundai Ioniq 6 N '25 - Brand Central
  6. Toyota Chaser 2.5 Tourer V '97 - Used Cars
  7. Toyota Mark II Tourer V JZX100 '97 - Used Cars

Was there any sign that cadillac is coming? This one is just a wish to be honest. From all of those cars this one is just the least possible.

If there would by another LMDH car in next update there are Aston Martin Valkyrie, Lamborghini, Alpine or Genesis. Brands that arleady exist in GT7.

Oh, i dont want a thing that looks like an Saab 900, I want a 900 😅🤭. But I'm not complaining about the Ioniq 6.

If what is said in the video is true, I will be happy. What fun cars. Only the R500 comes with a full windshield..

As always take it with a grain of salt:

-Toyota Chaser tourer V Mark II
Toyota Chaser '97
-Hyundai Ioniq 6 N
-Caterham R500

Also he mentioned the expected date as August 20th (apparently content was shown on the recording of round 2 of GTWS at PD HQ today)

My question is, where's the Xiaomi VGT? It's been revealed since March and we still haven't received it in game. I'm curious to know if they're saving it for the end of the year or for early 2027.

Maybe PD's still trying to work out how they can implement it into the game with a billion bhp without it weighing 3 tonnes (metric)

I feel that PD may follow the same path of 1.70 update. Since the Viewers Campaign will last until Monday 31/08/26, I think we may have the next update in the first week of September, bundled with stealth cars dropping.
Hopefully 20/8, otherwise that would be a long waiting for next update.

Got to love it when a one-step removed source (he's a manager for one of the Spanish GTWS drivers, the cars allegedly being shown to GTWS drivers over the weekend) posts "four-car update" and names the cars, a more reliable source posts to essentially confirm that they are correct, and then we still get a "prediction" of a seven-car update that includes those four and then basically wishlists three more.

New prediction thread rule: wishlists = thread ban; wishlists for cars without also voting for/suggesting it in the Suggestions forum = site ban until the day after the next update.

Fun fact: There's no Suggestions forum thread for the BMW M4 GT3.

Edit: Yikes. Eight posts before that was ignored.

Edit: And 12, this time with a nebulous eight-car wishlist that didn't include any of the four very-probably confirmed cars. Weird. I was only lightly joking about the section "rule" but I may have to actually implement it if this continues.

I believe there is none because the suggestions system on gtplanet ist too complicated and outdated.
Yes, it's very complicated to search and either click "Like" on the first post or type in a car make/model/year in a title and post a couple of pictures and a paragraph or two (which most copy & paste from an external source anyway). Oh, so onerous.

It's so outdated that it was more-or-less lifted for the official Forza site...

Not that it's relevant in any way, unless you really, badly want to wishlist stuff in places where they don't belong given that we've provided two specific places along with all the random, more niche wishlist threads and this is an objection to not being allowed to do it everywhere else too.

PD has stated that the prize stealth cars will be distributed to the players on September 1st. Therefore the update will be before then. I don't know why some people have predicted August 20th. PD normally releases the update on the last Thursday of the month which will be August 27th. That is when I predict it will be.

Please can you add predictions that’s don’t have any explanation, theory and or logic have thread ban

I think anyone who predicted four LMH/LMDh cars in the same update would have been banned, tarred, feathered, and fired out of a cannon into shark-infested waters, regardless of any explanation, yet it happened. So probably not, no.

So, are are we under the assumption that maybe mid-August is the now most likely next update to coincide with the next event?

It's a bit of a Levin and Trueno situation, really, apart from the styling they're pretty much identical. Not that I'm complaining about getting both, I trust PD to properly differentiate them with custom part and swap options.
Hi, I am trying to understand what the two Toyotas refer to.
Are they both from 96? From what I could gather on Internet, I thought that Chaser V could mean 5th generation, so the one from 92 to 96 according to wikipedia, with Mk II then referring to a facelift version of that gen? Yet, gtwiki says that the V refers to a trim, Tourer-V against another version dubbed Tourer S. Is the Mark II a returning version from GT1 and GT2? Then, the Chaser '97 would be the 6th gen? I haven't watched the video yet, does Soler explain it in detail?
