To all the veterans (and newbies out there). What are your feelings on this very odd set up with Premium and Standard cars? I find it quite strange that the developers have chosen to go with "quantity over quality" when it comes to the cars in this title.

Why did they include sooooo many Standard vehicles? When looking at the Premium vehicles I'm left scratching my head with a few of their vehicle choices that made it into the Premium line too. Seriously.., 1940's VW's that clearly are not meant for ANY type of serious racing. Also.., what's with all the concept vehicles?

Personally I would have been more than happy with 300-400 Premium vehicles and (NO) Standard vehicles.

Some of the standard cars are just downright awful in terms of appearance and I find it annoying to see such poor quality cars put in a game that has taken so long to make. I don't mind the face that they decided to put them in to at least make a vast selection of cars to choose from but they really shouldve put more premiums in the game. Just over 200 premium cars just doesn't cut it for me and they made some very poor choices in choosing which ones were premium, I mean why on earth would a samba bus be premium, but a bugatti veyron standard? It makes no sense. I just hope PD delivers on it's promise to upgrade standards to premiums in future updates.

It doesn't make sense to me either. As popular as some of these cars are.., it's blows my mind that some of the more well known vehicles that SHOULD Be Premium models are in the Standard category.

What grinds me is that for Polyphony to charge for the upgrade is insulting. They are going to capitalize on their own shortcoming....

To me they could up date the standards to have high poly count bodies like the premiums, no interiors, and the ability to change rims. I'm sure the bulk of the time spent modeling a premium car is spent on the interior, which I can live without if it adds the features above.

I read somewhere that it takes 6 months to create a premium car, PD would need a massive team or need to outsource. I enjoy how all the standards drive (ones I have driven) but some of them do look ok but most look terrible. I can live without interior views to be honest I never use in car cam but rather roof cam (if they fixed bumpercams forward and back rocking I would use that).

I don't care about premiums. Sure they look nicer in the menus, but gameplay over graphics. As long as all the cars use the same physics, and feel great to drive, I'm happy.
