This looks perfect; the aesthetic and specs sound great. Cheaper, more efficient, redesigned body. The downsides: it is smaller than the regular prius and performance is weak (good for a prius though). So I'm looking forward to this.
Here's a picture (keep in mind it's still a concept so body style may differ by release):

This looks perfect if your idea of perfect is hideously ugly....

Hmm... I'm not going to get mad and tell you it looks good and that you are rude, because then I would be a hypocrite. Different courses for different horses I suppose, and you are a horse of a different color, kind sir.

Hahaaa, just a Top Gear reference. Captain Slow would have picked for the cool wall.

Oh, James May. Oh, the cool wall. I love Top Gear, i dont know how I missed this. :dopey:

The only way the Prius will be cool if the engineers at Toyota stuffed the LFA's engine where the rear seats will normally be, rip out the batteries, and install a small nuclear generator, and have a bumper sticker on the back that says "PROBLEM, CHEVY VOLT?".

That, or if James Bond drove one in a movie.

I disagree.

That's like saying "The Cool Buick," "The Cool Oldsmobile" or "The Cool Daewoo."

Early Roadmaster, 4-4-2, And err, I give up.

Anyways I don't like it, I actually like the Station Wagon one so far...

That steering wheel is horrible. Horrible.

And I don't think it will be somehow. As soon as they peel back all the swoopy interior, LED lights and fit some eco-rims with eco-tyres and presumably some sort of opening boot, it'll become a far less interesting prospect to look at.

That's my issue with the Prius - aside from the readout on the dashboard and the rabbit-paw gearstick, there's really nothing of any interest about the interior. It's not just 'not special enough', it's just plain not special. You're very aware that you're sitting in a mid-sized Toyota hatchback rather than anything with green credentials - in fact not just that, but a Toyota from the late 90s when everything was still coloured in 'ash surprise'.

If they somehow make the interior slightly less grey (since I can imagine that none of what they've designed in there will be hanging on for any production model), then wonderful. If not, then colour me unsurprised.

This is a SMALLER version of a PRIUS. This is as small as it gets.

So this is a hint of a sports Prius down the line?

It's just a prius, only smaller, cheaper, and with better fuel economy. The design makes it eyecatching.

So you're a politician then?

 could be

I agree this car sucks for car-lovers. But it is efficient, a realistic car to have, and has an aggressive design that sets it apart from others in it's class.
