Exactly.

More triple posting?

And defending the Prius? Oh dear. And especially that... thing in the first post. Are you sure you aren't just trolling?

Didn't Lexus make the LFA?....(yes I know it's owned by Toyota but Toyota didn't build it ;)).

No, Toyota built it. The car was built at the Motomachi plant in Toyota City, Japan by Toyota employees and robots.

No, in fact I always figured you probably did, you did start the indie thread after all.

^ too funny
...for some reason I feel Vettel would drive a Prius like this after a sunday race. Hell he liked the design of that ugly X2010

Aren't Toyota employees Robots in and of themselves? Or cyborgs at the least!

EDIT: I made a owee like the op and dual posted, I thought that was the other theme of this thread sorry guys.

They're saying Prius C but that looks very much like the upcoming Toyota Yaris hybrid. I wouldn't see the sense in making the Prius too much smaller because the Yaris will eventually fill that niche, and there's no need to make it bigger as the 7-seat Prius will be around shortly too.

As for the images of the concept, I don't mind it. At the end of the day though it's just that - a concept - and won't get made looking like that.

And as someone else said, I think those images have been around for quite a while now already.

Just to tell everyone this car is almost a year old.

Yes, this car was at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show, held back in February. I guess I was the only one who saw it:

I took more pictures, but I've run out of excuses for the moment. I think it looked good, to be honest; the Prius has always been a bit of an ugly duckling, in my book. I think the wheel pattern looks a little too much like a swastika, but maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Again, like a cool Buick? A cool Oldsmobile? A cool Daewoo? That doesn't mean anything when the baseline for the comparison is a car that might as well have a latte dispenser in the dashboard.

I was so ready to delete this entire post for duplicity until the latte dispenser.

How many mpgs do you think this gets?

The Prius thing? I think Toyota were hinting at 94 in imperial gallons, which when translated to U.S. gallons and then hack off 15%-odd for the discrepancy between EU fuel economy figures and EPA estimates, you're looking at an easy 60mpg+, in theory.

Apparently, they're calling it the Aqua.

Just realized that the right-rear tire is mounted backwards. So is the left-front (see first page). The right-front and left-rear are properly mounted.

Sure enough, my photos below prove I'm not a complete Toyota fanboy...unless it's some sort of double-secret method for hypermile-ing Dunlop tires. What do I know, is that mis-mounted unidirectional tires are bad at preventing aquaplaning. One could argue that the car probably won't be going fast enough to do so...but technically, a car still moving at 5 miles an hour can still cause an accident, if it can't stop.

There is no such thing as a cool Toyota. Take a look at Toyota.ca and name one car on there that isn't a total snore-fest... I dare you! The FJ is the only mildly amusing one... and it's a truck! And a Jeep/Land Rover rip-off at that!

If only the OP looked back to the 90s when people were proud to own a Toyota, and Toyota could actually show their face on the international racing stage. Now they're like the old guy next door that use to be fun and cool 10 years ago, but got a vasectomy and just isn't the same.

Here's what will make it look nicer:

-Seats that dont look like folding chairs
-A steering wheel that doesnt look like its a toddlers toy
-Rear lights that look like they belong
-Headlights that dont block your driving view

Azuremen
I'm curious, how old are you? Because your method of defending things tends to revolve around "I said so, so there"

All I'm saying is, I hated the Prius too; until I saw this.
