Private rooms discussion

Poor excuse.

Nobody is asking for vast online features. The fact is a very simple online feature such as private rooms should of been available ages ago. End of.

Its not an excuse, its a reason. A very good reason too, because comparing fully finished and tested games to a game which is effectively a public alpha test flies in the face of logic in my opinion.
We have been given simple online features.....just not the features you want. Hence why PD are now working on them...because they distributed GT5:P, looked at the feedback and started to make improvements.

We shall have to agree to disagree on this one.

Maybe I have been spoilt by the vast online features of Xbox live, but I still find it incredible that we are still waiting for private rooms. What my point is why did PD introduce 3 new cars instead in the last update when many would of preferred private rooms.

As for Prologue being a public alpha test, well let me say this to you. I have been playing COD5 beta on my xbox 360 and this has includes many online features and it didn't cost a penny. My point is we PAID for prologue and have every right to complain because I still cannot believe we are waiting for private rooms. Do you think its right that I have to switch my 360 on everytime I wish to talk to my friends whilst racing each other on Prologue!

Don't get me wrong I love the PS3 and feel its a superior console to the Xbox 360. However PD and Sony seem to be making a right mess of it at the moment. What I mean by this is we recieve very little info from PD with regards to future updates and Sony seem to be hesistant in releasing info about Home. All the while MS are bombarding the TV adverts promoting the console at £129.99 and are making a big deal about their new NXE update. What with Xmas looming and the credit crunch continuing to bite, if Sony continue with this silence they could find themselves lagging far behind its competitors.

Im just frustrated with PD and Sony at the moment. Here we have a superb console with a great game and what Sony should be doing is promoting GT5P and making a big deal about playstation Home. Instead of this all we hear from both companies is complete silence which I find very frustrating indeed!

If gt5p is beta. Why did we pay for a Beta? I heard alot things GT5p will be free! l8ter it had priced.Ok i bought it no prob..I did coz I thought I would play my buddies..

PD always gives you the impression of something special being implemented in a new GT game, which has to disappoint you more or less, when you buy it and it's not there.
But... however you always get your hands on one of the best racing games ever made, which in the end is always worth it! 👍

First of all let me say SORRY for the double post. I had another thought on private rooms which people may think about. This my friends is the truth , coming from experience of online racing in a private room with friends only.

The game 11 of us play is F1CE , we have our own league formed from friends who we met on GT5P , and have developed a trust factor. We have all raced together at various times , events , and you see these people periodically and have clean , fun racing with them , so next thing you know , they are on your friends list, COOL . 👍

Now when your in a private room with your friends and your all racing together , this can and will happen :

1. Accidents - these do happen , whether it be from a little nudge , to an adrenaline rush by someone trying to eek out a position , next thing you know , your off the track and losing positions ( frustating ) , sometimes makes you feel like your in the public room, just racing noobs and punters, but you try to brush it off as just an "incident" and the pm's start flying saying sorry , etc. , etc. ,etc. ,( which is cool ), then sometimes there are no pm's , and you start to wonder about certain people , wth , I got hit by so and so and not so much as an opology , then the frustration begins to set in because of what just happened , and then maybe you take your level of racing to the next step , becoming a little more agressive , not a good thing to do , your still racing "FRIENDS" ," IF YOU DO THIS , YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANY FRIENDS" .

Here's a little advice about online private room behavior.

1. Keep it clean , obviously. You want to maintain a good name and your built up friendships.
2.Be appologetic , if you bump , nudge , get into someone , after the race pm the person , say your sorry.
3.Your racing ( I said racing ) , not doing 5 qualifier laps , where your out there to peel off lap records , you don't have to be a speed demon on every lap.
4.Patience , be patient , a sweeping corner , straightaway , is coming then make your move around the slower person , never force the issue and try some stupid move where you really know a move for position can not and should not be made. Seriously , are you getting paid for the position you finish up in , NO you are not , so who cares where you end up , you raced a bunch of friends cleanly and had fun doing it ( have fun !!! ).

Please do consider these thoughts , it will make you a better racer , person.

These apply to any race online anyway.....its just with private rooms you have a little more trust going on so you can try some more daring moves and trust the other driver to react in a more sensible way compared to the general idiots.

Good thought Ardius ,I know this as do others. 👍

You will still encounter a certain someone who is trying overly hard to win , and that is when things happen.

We have lost 2 " friends " out of our league due to this , it's sad , but it does happen.

Just slow down and be cool about things is all I am saying.

Just because it is a private room with friends , does not mean you can push the buttons any harder.
