Alright, I have only run the Pro Vitz twice in my life. The first time I went through it, I was sweating the SSRII race and had to rereun it several times before I *squeaked* out a victory. The other races, aside from the Test Course, were all also pretty close as I remembered. Now, I know I'm a better driver now than I was then, but I just went back through it and I won the SSRII by like 30 seconds! None of the other races were even that close.

I used a near fully-modded Vitz 1.5 RS (1-way LSD instead of customizable LSD), tightened up the springs to around 14 up front and 16 in the rear, slapped on some T4's, got rid of the ACS, dropped the TCS to 3, upped the stabilizers to 4 each, dropped the front to the lowest possible, put the rear 3mm higher than the front, used auto-setting 22, and used a final drive ratio of 3.400 in all races aside from the Test Course, where I think I went with a 2.800 (possibly lower).

So what I'm wondering is, was this just an aberration or has anyone else blown this race away? I swear this race was a lot harder...

I didnt get to this race after a while because I was intimidated, I tried running at one time with an almost fully modded Vitz and couldnt even catch 5th place.

Then a few months later as I was getting to the last bit of Pro League I decided I had better try again. All I did was add the customizeable transmission and stretched the gears a bit and I totally blew away everyone. I doint know if the stock tranny was so low that the power was too much for the grip or if I just got that much better, I would have to go with the latter.

Anyways congrats, that is a painfully long series...

It's competitive, but it's not as hard as a lot of people make out, certainly. I think a lot of people go into a race, have a tough time of it for the first couple of laps, and quit, like  that's hard. So many of the races are hard for like the first 10 laps, and then the AI just get rubbish, and you win by a mile.

I think most people says it hard because they're not used to the car, slow acceleration, and the worst is it's an FF car.

most people (that says that it's hard) gas while cornering, that's a huge mistake when driving an FF car.

I myself once realized that it's an FF car, didn't push the gas while cornering thus improve my cornering performance and win the entire race at the 1st try :D

don't forget the thumbkilling test course (I always forget to use a rubberband trick for the accel) :banghead:

I'll ditto your thoughts, bwdemon. I suffered miserably the first time I ran this race, as well as the Elise race. Just never seemed to be able to get ahead of the AI.

This time through, I managed to obliterate the AI. The closest they came were 26+ seconds on Laguna seca. The other races were 35-45 second losses for the AI. Including being nearly a minute and a half off me at Grand Valley.

I think it has to do with skill, and your ability improves after a while.

The first time or first race I polled in 2nd place and was in 1st place tile lap 4 but then my tyres failed and I started to lose the race. Gave up, got harder tyres and then stayed in front. Tyres made it. Less pit stops also made for better times I men u pit once thay pit twice.
That test course I turn my sound system over to same music. :note:

Has anyone beat Pro Vitz with the Vitz Euro 1.3 with 86hp stock??? I just wonder if it is possible.

I think it's impossible, I just tried that, last race (grand valley II) and my first lap time was 2:57:xx (about 37 seconds behind them per lap)

Yeah, they're easy...win by almost a lap each time! btw if you think vitz is hard and you haven't done the last time trial, get ready!

Well I'll say, 'It's easy when you know how', once you get your slicks :burnout:, settings, Mods, wait a few laps for the rest to pit then lead the race to the flag :chkflag:

I didn't go with slicks. I used medium racing tires and pitted every five laps. This kept my tires fresh so I didn't slide at all and helped work with my transmission settings to accelerate well and make up time out of every corner. I probably could have made it seven or more, but why go seven when you only have 3 laps to race after that? Give me good tires for as long as possible and I'll be happy =D
