Hi, I'm new posting here, but I've been coming here for awhile. I just bought a new Xbox 360 and am pleased with it so far, except for one problem. Whenever I play Forza Motorsport, (after I did the backwards compatability thing) it will tell me every once in a while that "there is a problem with the disc, it may be dirty or damaged". I am now on my second "used" disc and i cleaned them both and it gave me the same message. Am I the only one this has happened to? (oh and i did use the search). Oh, and a new problem I just found, when I go to paint the car, some weird just out of nowhere vinyl type coloring apears on my car and I can't get rid of it.

I've had that happen a little bit with Forza. If you restart can you get past that point? I don't remember if I did or not.

I just eject the game, and reload it, and avoid exiting the screen to choose cars for the free run. That seems the be the only point where it seems to be unable to read the disc. Anyone know about the whole paint customization glitch? I'm almost to the point of returning it again, and just buying PGR2 so I can play that along with PGR3

^Yep, sucks don't it? I'm glad I decided to keep the old XBOX and keep it hooked up to the TV and keep an internet connection close by.

I've had no problems with it whatsoever here. The only thing I've noticed it that it doesn't run that well, less frames per second than running on the Xbox. Other than that, I've had no problems.

I warn though, playing Xbox games on the 360 is a bit iffy, so I wouldn't be surprised you are having problems - I have with a few in the past. This is why I'm keeping at least 1 Xbox in the house.

Oh, well this is the first Xbox system I've gotten (I'm more of a PS gamer) so I'm kind of new to this. Well thanks for your responses, and I figure I should try to re-do the Backwards Compatability disc to see if that has anything to do with it. And thanks for the heads up on PGR2.

Its funny that Halo 2 plays flawlessly on my 360, considering it was the console seller.

I've given up and I am going to return it and put save the money to get Forza 2. I even tried reformatting and reinstalling the backwards compatability disc, but to no avail. So now I will only have PGR3 and a rented Ridge Racer 6 to occupy me. lol.

Well, Halo 2 probably has special attention because, like you said, it was the console seller. To the team of people working on backward compatibility, Forza was just another game to make compatible.

WOW! I FEEL STUPID! ok, so I finally hooked up to Xbox Live! and guess what? it downloaded an update and low and behold, it works pretty darn good. I'm sorry I wasted your guyses time with this stupid problem when it turned out to just be a noobish mistake.

Don't worry! I've done a silly mistake like that on here before. At least it works, that's the main thing. 👍
