Hello everyone, i have got a problem with taking a car back from a sub-account.

First, i bought an Audi R10 Race Car on my main-account and gifted it to my 2nd account to complete some races. Then, the same day (i didn't gift any car earlier that day from that 2nd account) i wanted that car back, so i tried to gift it to my main-account again.

But, when i clicked the gift button, it said that my gift-limit was allready reached for that day!

Does anyone got the same problem, or got a solution for it?

Thanks in advance!

Patch 1.07. You can't send more than 1 car per PS3 (<> account).

Plenty of threads about this, search for more info.

Ah, i see. Every patch makes it worse. (yeah im WAS a duper...) First it was a limit of 1 car per day, per account, then a limit of 1,000,000 per gift/trade, and now they only allow 1 car, per PS3, per day! Well, i think im going to look into grinding on Indy or something, because there is no other way i will get an expensive car.

As a practical matter cars can still be loaned between friends, just much more difficult to duplicate.

How? That share thing only seems to work for online races. How can I lend a friend a F1 s/he can use in the seasonals? Am I missing something here? Is there functionality I've simply missed so far?

Go into your garage, find the car you want to "share" - either press triangle and select "share with friends" then set to "on"

OR

Go into your garage, find the car you want to "share" - press X and then scroll to the right and select "share with friends" and follow prompt. Good luck, cheers.

That's exactly what I did. Wasn't working as hoped for. Or do I need to be online for them to use the cars or something?

Yes, you have to have the internet connected to your PS3 for a friend to use a "shared car" but you don't have to remain online while they use the car.... You only have to be online to "set them to be shared" and once you have done that, you can go offline and they can still use your "shared cars."

"The friend" must then go to the profile tab on their GT Life screen, then scroll down to your "profile"(listed vertically just to the right of the home/profile/community tabs) where they can see your wins/mileage/money/XP etc. Scroll to the car they'd like to "borrow" and press X. Then select "borrow car."

If you would like to remove them from being shared, you must go back online to remove them from being shared. Cheers.

EDIT: Also make sure both parties have current update/software versions.

Ok, thanks. I'm gonna try that again. Maybe we didn't have to do all that gifting around after all.

Its not just per ps3, its' per ip address.

Don't think so. I've seen reports of people sending from two PS3s on the same IP no problem. And changing your IP address doesn't give you another trade on the same PS3.
