Problem with replay Nuvolari Quattro at Motorpark

I just tried the Nuvolari Quattro around Motorpark, and for some reason
that particular car (so far) keeps getting stuck in the same turn and
goes in reverse and just kind of goes on it's own in replays.
Other cars seem to be ok from what i've tried so far.

Has anyone else noticed any problems with this particular car or track?

Thanks!!

I had the same problem with the Woodone Supra on Suzuka once, but it has never occured again. Wierd though.

Hmm, that's weird, I reset my PS2 and tried the same car and
it sticks in the exact same place, i'm curious, i'm wondering
if anyone that has the Nuvolari if they could try it on the
Motorpark course and see if they'res does it?

Thank's for the reply Team666!!

Allright, I´ve tried it (well, the motorland curcuit in freerun. Is it one of the other two tracks in motorpark? I.e. test course or beginners course.). Both A and B-spec, but it all worked fine. Are you running NTSC or PAL?

It's NTSC, and it's Motorpark(hmm maybe it was motorland like you said) circuit, in normal it does it, not reverse.
Weird, you running PAL??And so far only seems to be with Nuvolari.
And it's only in replay, driving is fine. Just annoying as I like to watch
the replays after good runs.

Yup, I´m on PAL. You´ll have to wait until someone else running NTSC comes along and tries this. I suspect that this wierd occurance is a NTSC bug/thingie. Have you done a search on this? There´s a really looooong thread about GT4 bugs.

Haha, yeah I did a search in the bugs thread etc. and google , I did see
some things about cars getting stuck in walls, flipping out etc.
Anyways, thanks for taking the time to try it Team, appreciate it!!!
I just hope it doesn't happen to any other cars or tracks. Pretty annoying.

I happened to me once in GT2, but never in GT4. Question, have you tried this on multiple replays, or is it the same one that keeps messing up? Because if for some reason an input is skipped while saving the replay it will mess up the entire continuity and could cause what seems to be happening. Try making a new replay with the Nuvolari and see if that one works.

Ok, I'm running PAL but want to see if I can replicate this.

What mode are you running Motorland in. GT mode? And is it free-run, photodrive, which?

Also, forward or reverse?

Any special settings or modifications to your car, or is just stock (right down to the oil, tires etc)? I want to replicate this exactly.

:)

Ferrari_chris, ok it's NTSC as you already know, Free Run track meet in GTmode,
Normal not reverse. Stock settings, and the car is the Audi Nuvolari Quattro (silver).
I ran about 4 laps, during replay everything was fine, then on like the 3rd lap of the
replay the car goes down the straight-away and just decides to go into the
wall, the wheels turn left and right and it doesn't seem to be able to free itself from the wall. Yeah see if you can replicate this, it was about 3rd lap in or so, I don't know if i'm hitting a dirt area or something that is triggering this or what, cause I did go off course for a sec. I dunno real weird and annoying.

It's weird, I just ran it again, and it didn't do it, I ran it with the Mazda6 and it did it.
One thing I noticed, it seems to only do it if I tap an AI car. When I run a clean lap
and don't bump anyone it doesn't do it.

Ahh what a pain, now it's not doing it at all, I don't understand how a glitch
would correct itself. Oh well, hopefully doesn't happen again. It was doing
it consistently then it just stopped doing it. hate those mystery glitches.

Well, sorry for posting again, but it happened again with the Audi, seems always
near the straight.I dont' know if the car is trying to get into pits or what. maybe i'll look into getting another copy, maybe I got a bad one.

Well I just tried another car on the basic course and guess what?
the car runs into the wall of the pit area, and stays there trying to turn.
Only in the replay.

I think it's time for a new disc, of course it's ridiculous since I baby
the thing and my PS2. I haven't even had it a year.

In the replays?

I think the problem comes from the fact that the replay isn't actually a replay, but just the rerunning of the data input.

Oh well.

This happened to me on GT3 at Cote de Azure with the Calasonic Skyline, but it only happened once and never again.
The Calsonic Skyline is probably my favorite car in GT3, and I got 'stuck' once while watching a replay of a fine race that I had just won at Côte d'Azur with that car.

It happened at the far end of the uphill climb on Beau Rivage, entering the sweeping decreasing-radius left-hand blind corner (Massanet). The car in the replay just kept backing up and running into the wall on the left hand side. This, of course, did not occur during the race.

I've finished GT4, but still play it, and nothing similar to this has happened to me....at least not yet. I will try to replicate what has been discussed in this thread at the first opportunity.

Thanks for the replies guys, appreciate it.

I may just go grab another copy of GT4 and see if it's the disc.
Hate to drop another $50 but I spend a lot of time on the game
like most of us on here do and it's real annoying watching a nice
replay lap and the car sits there smashing into walls then just sits there
till the replay runs out.

I just noticed something, I SAVED the replays that were having problems. Now
when I watched them after the race they were screwed up, cars hitting walls etc.

I just replayed them using Replay Theater and the cars are fine wtf???

Does anyone have any clue what would cause this?Or is anyone else having these kind of problems? Would a bad disk cause something like this? I don't know if I should grab another copy or what. My PS2
isn't old, it's the fat kind but I didn't get it long ago. This is getting real irritating.

Thanks for any help guys. Appreciate it.

It's just a glitch. I've had that with several of my replay's. Sometimes(rarely though) when I watch them something really strange happens. Then, the next time everything is fine.

A glitch.

I doubt it's your disk.

I think a disk error would just make your game hang. There's an error with the data on the disk, and that'll be the same all across the board.

Just bad luck I guess.
