Problem with the in-game log

I don't know if anyone besides me care about the in-game log. I like to keep track of my movements in the game so I think it's a nice feature. However, I find it annoying that it doesn't record anything unless you're connected to the GT5 server. The major problem is that players are being disconnected from the GT5 server after some time without online activity. I have an example from yesterday where I completed the Grand Valley 300 A-Spec event. About 2 hours of "offline" gaming and the log doesn't record my first major accomplishment in GT5. Meanwhile I can keep track of all my minor accomplishments because they only take a few minutes to complete so the server connection remains. What is the point of having a log that doesn't work when it really matters?

I havent been disconnected but I have had it not record some long races and championships as stated. It'll record the first 2 out of 5 races for the dream car one.

was it like that? I thought whatever you do offline will be updated at once the next time you are online.. hmm..

I use the log feature to track down my friends's "movement" to find out if they are grinding, remote racing, or just bought a rare car .. :D

The log does not record things properly from what I've seen. It sometimes misses things out for no reason, for example, last week I sent 5 museum cards to my other account and it only logged that I had received four of them, instead of five.

How do you guys know that you haven't been disconnected? How do I know that I have been disconnected? Well, I don't but as I said my experience is that the log stops recording my progress if I don't use GT5's online features over a longer period of time. Can anyone else explain why it didn't record my completion of Grand Valley 300 and latest the 30 laps long Super GT B-Spec events? In addition to that I can inform you that one my B-Spec drivers reached another level after winning the Super GT event on Suzuka. The log did not mention that either. So all this indicates that the server disconnects me at some point when I don't use the online features. Has any of you ever noticed whether your log recorded an endurance event gold medal? Please note that I'm not talking about the PSN connection.

It's got nothing to do with not being connected to the server. If you get disconnected it will tell you and your PSN ID will not be displayed in the top left corner, it will be your profile name instead.

Like I said, I sent and received all of the cards at the same time, it recorded 4 out of the 5 I got. It just seems to ignore some things.

So we don't agree thast PSN and the GT5 server are two different things? True that nothing works without PSN though. I have to say that my log hasn't ignored something when it logs several things at once.
