Hi.
I am having problems with my toyota minolta..
It can't seem to throttle fully in the beginning.. it throttles only a little, but it gets fully throttled later.. that it a big problem for me when i am trying to do the gt all stars event on b-spec..

Is it normal that it doesnt throttle fully in the beginning or is it just me?

i made a thread about this earlier, but i got no replies on it.. hope someone could help me now.

btw my b-spec driver is at level 19

when you say wont throttle fully at the beginning do you mean through 1st and second but the later gears open it full throttle?

yes, something like that.. it's really annoying, becaues i end up at last place just a few seconds after the race starts.. i am having trouble doing the all stars event on b-spec because of it :indiff:

Bob's probably scared of spinning that beast of a car so he's gently applying the power in the first few gears until he's confident he can go full throttle without spinning the car.

its most likely bob is driving a car higher then his own level it happens when my bob drives the X1 he cant fully maximise the power and hes lvl 32

that plus the fact that the traction control is kicking in what tyres you running seeing as its bspec they make you run the crap tyres half the time

With the Minolta 1st and 2nd gear are literally too short to do anything but spin tires. So the TCS is probably kicking in there. Then once you do get it into 3rd, the tires slip more, and again more TCS. Im fairly confident thats your problem.

Okay, i just found out that i was using sports tyres.. but i switched to racing tyres and it seems to go well now. I'm at first place :dopey:👍

Thanks for the help guys!

edit: Forgot to say that the car still wont throttle fully.. but i hope everything goes well :)

It happened with my Minolta. Buts its been happening with any race i enter with my Bob. He just goes EXTREMELY slow until hes last/nearly last. He ends up winning but its just annoying...

I'm also having a problem with the Minolta... I'm trying to beat the GT all starts with it also on A-spec... It seems it spins out/oversteers or slides way too easily on turns even with racing tires and easing up on the throttle. I'm constantly losing control on corners. Does anyone have a tune for the minolta? Or can help me out?? Thanks!

The tires on the car can not hold at full throttle in low gears so if TCS is on it will limit the throttle. If Bob is driving he will be gentle on the throttle and if you are driving without TCS and floor it you are just going to smoke the tires.

Thanks for the reply. Your right... I've been practicing and I'm getting a lot better. My main problem was accelerating too soon and fast on corners.. I have another question tho. Basically it can happen with any real wheel drive and I've recoverd from it a few times but not sure how exactly. When your car slides one direction than you try to fix it but swings the other direction(back and forth until you spin out) is there an acual technique to recover from this? I've been so close to the end of races and this happens and lose :s

Turn into the slide, you have to catch it early, but you have to be gentle, it is a pain with a DS3 at times, but should be easy to catch with a wheel. Come off the throttle aswell, just drop it down to half throttle or something like that, as long as you cut out all that torque you should be ok.
