Anyone having issues logging in to run remote races? My B-Spec Grinder has stopped working over the weekend and if I try and access the website I get a 'Site down for Maintenance' Notice in the login box, but it has been like that for 3 days?!

This was discussed during the weekend when PSN was down for a short period. It was up and running yesterday, but has been taken down again today to prepare for PS store activation. It will be up again tomorrow morning.

Sweet thanks for the information, sorry I missed the previous thread.

The PS3 does not use the same login system as the web site.
Web site requires active cookie to stay signed in.
The Widget does not keep the cookie active for as long as a real browser.
So when the log in on the site stops, the widget can fail to log in.
some users are still getting....

This screen as the sites remain down for new logins...if you dont delete cookies everything is as normal on the web site in your browser.

I keep finding friends Bobs show up as available for remote racing but when selected it says they're not available. But if I go straight back to the PS3 console they are available and do run the races. Any ideas of why they're not available when remote racing on my laptop?

My guess would be because the web site is not updating any more as fast as it was. as its taking ages for it to get updates from PSN. The log screen has a random mind of its own. Skips hole days some times....pictures of shared cars don't show. it registers the car change but still cant load the car thumb nail..

Explains it, just means some of my friends Bobs aren't getting caned as much as they should be.

I'm completely down now. Widget goes straight to server maintenance. Actually first time I've ever seen that.

Ok. It works fine at home. It doesn't work at my office, 5 miles away.
Yes, I closed the widget and shut down the home computer before heading to work.

I dont think we will see the connectivity return until the official re-launch of the PS3 service later this week, which is a real bummer :grumpy: 👎

That's weak. I just got back online after the whole PSN down crap and then this...*sigh*

So, what is the official story with Play Station Network. I've not been able to log in to my PSN account from my PC to do remote racing since the PS3 Online Racing started back up again. Is there something I'm missing as far as going to a specific new PSN web site to log in and have to create a new passwork like I did with my PS3?

He he, Smurfit. That's a cool name.

It took me 2 days to get 'in' to my online thingie. I retried my new password over and over until it just worked. After that, the widget could log in too.

Well, I can't even get to the log-in screen. All I've been getting the whole time is the "Server is undergoing maintenance". Anyone else getting the same thing?

I'm getting the same message. After I click the GT5 my home, I click the log in button but it shows "Server is undergoing maintenance". Been like this for the past few days.

I dont normally get annoyed by such things but come one Sony, you are doing my head in.

Its such a perfect day for the widget to do its thing whilst i sit in garden and have a beer.

So to all my new B spec friends as soon as its back up i'll be B speccing for days and days , probaly 12 hours a day.

👍👍

Well PSN is meant to be back, but no login availability through web browser and still not remote race facility..

How can Sony advertise full service availability in the press but still have 50% of the service still unavailable.

BOOOHOOO!!

PSN has been back up for ages now.

Web site access is now temporarily re-enabled for NON PS3 and PSP devices.
So the widget will work for a while.
Do not log out of browser
or do not use the "delete cookies on exit of browser" options
