Now, I'm not sure which forum, this would belong in, but seeing as this is the only forum non-authenticated users can post in, oh well. I use a hotmail.com account, and I have requested the authentication email several times. However, the authentication email never came.

I've also tried signing up for Google Mail (I am not willing to sign up for Yahoo Mail) and it required me to give a mobile phone number (I don't have a cell/smartphone). I checked the junk mail settings and set them to the lowest possible level.

Is there any way at all out of this, or am I stuck in limbo/technical non-membership until I sign up for Yahoo?

Thanks in advance for helpful answers.

That is strange, but it's unfortunately not the first time I've heard of activation emails getting lost at Hotmail. However, we've got 44,051 users registered to the site with Hotmail accounts presumably without problems, so there's no telling what is really going on with their spam filters. As for Gmail, I personally use the service and have never seen it catch any of GTP's mail.

Double check that your email address is correct, then add forums:@:gtplanet.net to your address book on Hotmail and try re-sending the notification email again.

I don't care if this has been said many times before, but Jordan - Huge Big 👍 for making GTPlanet possible!

Thank you very much!..

Wow... I've been offered advice from the site founder... oh well, I'll add it to my trusted addresses book pronto and see if that works. If it doesn't... oh well.

Sorry about the double post... I'm gonna have to try how to figure out these forums.

Anyways, I added it to the safe sender list, resigned myself, C+P'd the email from a Facebook message, hit the big red resend button, and five seconds (I counted) after I hit resend... it worked.

Thanks Jordan. 👍:dopey:

I'm very glad that worked for you, and thanks, Flerbizky.
