Problems with loadtimes and freezing

I have an old ps3 and the loadtimes when toggeling between menus and cars etc has increased a lot from the day I started to play. It is like small freezes.
Online-playing has deterioated in time for me as well with small freezes in the tuning menu, i often get disconnected even though I have a fiberlan superfast internet connected with a wire to the ps3.
Does my ps3 standing with one foot in the grave?

There are loads of these threads mate, they all have similar answers but finding out exactly what it is is difficult, jumping to conclusions that your ps3 is dying is a bit extreme, consider that a last cause

I noticed the same a while ago.
First I cleared the cache ingame and in the PS3-Browser. But no noticable bettering.
After that I thought maybe my Game-Save is too big which causes long loading and online issues (my internet is TOP it wasn´t the wire etc.).
I have 1016 Cars 2000 paintchips too many Museum cards and Gears.

=> I created a 2nd account.

First thing I noticed: Wow it is loading super quick !!
I deleted all gears and gift the paints too my main account and it is still without problems.
I just use my 2nd account for online Racing (I take part in too GTP-Series)
=> not many Cars (22 I think) and no other stuff

If you think your connection isn´t the issue just create a second account (you can gift some cars you tuned for specific pp limits etc. just for online racing).
It´s the cheapest control
