Im wheelspinning into 3rd gear and losing all my traction, anyone know how to solve it? I launch in 2nd gear and i dont stop spinning untill half way through 3rd, ive tried separating my gears out but i drag at indy so i lose acceleration, anyone know what i can do?

try launching in 3rd if you still get some wheelspin add some rear Toe Best of luck :)

Never launch in anything higher than second. Ever. Add rear toe. As long as your gear is long enough not to bog and you are in the powerband not increasing RPM until your ready to shift, then you are ok.

I disagree! I know one car that is epic with 3rd gear! HAHA Its named after a fax machine...

Is that the one I'm thinking of where you told me to start tuning it AGES ago.. Where we were running 1/4 in the tunnel haha

I start my Ford GT (premium) , my MP4 and my SLS AMG in 3rd gear and they have a very good start :)

The MP4 and SLS are both 7 gear RWDs, basically the only type of car that supports a 3rd gear launch properly.

Agreed! I have a 3rd launcher that gives people FITS! BUT if you decide to do it,I particularly recommend 3rd gear launches for RWD cars that are above 900 hp but less than 1300-1400kg. and thats IF you decide to do it. It works on some cars, some are better off with you putting in that extra trans & suspension work to achieve a 2nd gear launch.
