amended the title as there are no pictures posted here any more. though you will find high quality pics behind that url. pictures marked "background" are what i consider to be good desktop backgrounds. they are either super cool pics or good shots of cars without any ppl around them.

if anyone wants bigger shots just let me know.

We don't really need 8 individual threads of comments. I've merged them all together into this one.

I have found a whole new appreciation for thumbnails and RAM.
Agreed. I've had to temporarily disable images just to prevent my computer borking every time I enter this thread... :irked:

From what I saw, looks pretty good. I read Prodrive were having an open day in Autocar magazine, and was very interested to come. It just wasn't physically possible to get there, unfortunately.

I have a couple of pictures of Prodrive Astons in my Goodwood FoS 2007 thread coming soon. 👍

well that's why i split them up into multiple threads. i couldn't find an auto-thumbnail feature on gtplanet, and i didn't have the time to make them myself.

bah :grumpy:

if you want to see a directory listing, go here: www.urhq.com/prodrive07/

ok i've now removed all of the pics from this thread because 130 photos on a single page was just ridiculous.

i don't understand why they couldn't have been split up.

unimpressed :grumpy:

anyway, i'll sort out some kind of thumbnail/gallery thing when i have some time...

Because people would have commented on a picture in the thread the picture was contained in. We would then have had 7 threads all containing roughly the same contents & comments. Your comments thread would probably not have been used at all.

Use of thumbnails would also have been a good idea. This thread contains 100 photos, yet loads with no problems.

Agreed, that's why I contacted the moderator of this forum, MazKid, and asked him to close off those threads.

Also agreed, but I had spent all of Sunday sifting through the photos and picking out the best ones, as well as resizing them to make them more manageable for internet usage. Thumbnails are great but require time to setup. I'll put them on my site next weekend. Untill then, anyone interested in the photos will have to use a regular directory listing.

As a side note, I don't have an amazing computer or internet connection yet 30 photos for a page loaded fine for me.

*sigh* never mind...

You could just upload them to www.photobucket.com and turn them into thumbnails there. It's MUCH easier than I thought it would be. When uploaded, select them all, click the "Generate HTML and IMG code" button, the all the thumbnail's code is ready to copy-paste. 👍

If you save your photos to Photobucket, it autothumbnails for you, and just tacks a 'th_' to the front of the filename. Sorted. :)
