I have a question regaurding settings on the zonda race car. I have played the race of red emblem on the proffesional league and lost miserably. i keep spining out on the track because these cars have very little traction. I have a fully upgraded zonda race car and i still can't win! When i race i try to keep my whells from screeching around turns. This means that im going to need more traction but i am new to tunning cars so i am kind of stuck. Could one of you experienced gt3 players please give me some tips to maximize are cars traction and minimize drift? any help would be very... ...helpful. :banghead: thanks.

Okay, okay.
Set your FRont Spring rate to 9.0
Set your rear Spring Rate to 6.0
Lower the car into the weeds (all the way down)
Set your camber to 0.0 front and 0.5 rear.
Set your bound to 4 and 4
rebound to 8 and 8.
stabilizers to 4 and 4
Final Drive ratio to 4.444.

Now here's the Hard part. Go to Rome and Rome Reverse in arcade mode. Run these tracks for practice.
If you are getting too much oversteer raise the rear of the car by 5 mm increments until you are happy with the handling.
If the car is understeering raise the front of the car till you are happy with it's handling.
If you drive auto set your "sport-wide" slider to about 30 and then take her out again and see if you can reach the top of 6th gear on the back straight. If you can't back off by 2 and run again. You are trying here to balance acceleration with top end, thus the low (high numerical) final drive ratio.

Lastly, you must be very, very smooth on this race to win. Keep practicing. This race is nearly as hard as the Vitz Challenge with a "road-going" Zonda.

yup red emb was damn hard... I did it in a nismo gtr (i think) with stage 1 turbo... EEK!! is about all I have to say :)

Ummmmmmm. Isn't the race of the Red Emblem for Skylines only?

Enquiring minds want to know...

yup, i used this one :)

(edit: oops, this one)

I know he said Race of Red Emblem, (which is a Skyline only race) but I answered the question that was actually asked. Re: the Italian cup. :P

Ah. Thank you, Gil-san. I was mightily confused.

I think that it may not be the car settings, but more the driving style. The ZOnda Race car is quite powerful, when fully upgraded. So much so, that it's likely to spin on any tight corner, given that you stomp the throttle open coming out of it.

Maybe lighten up on the throttle a bit would have more effect than the settings. My first time through teh game, I needed the Race car to finish this race, and even then it was a battle. Now that I'm farther along, I realized that I needed to exercise some control in my throttle application.

That'd be my suggestion. As well as Gil's answer.

i beat this race a while ago and this is a pretty old thread, but im cool with bringing it back out for anyone who needs hep on this. No need to answer any of my questions. thanks for the help.

The seeting I have been using are:
Spring rate Frt: 11.4 kgf/mm Rear: 14.8
Ride height: Frt/Rear 70mm
Shock bound: Frt/Rear 6 Rebound Frt:6 Rear:5
Camber angle: Frt:3.3 Rear: 1.3
Toe: Frt: 0 Rear: 0
Stabilizers: Frt/Rear: 4
Brake Balance Frt: 9 Rear: 10
Limited- slip In. Tor. Frt: 0 Rear 12 Lim-slip Acce: Frt 0 Rear: 40
Lim-slip Dec. Frt: 0 Rear 20
Gear ratios: 1st 3.285, 2nd 2.175, 3rd 1.570, 4th 1.193, 5th 0.954, 6th 0.733 Final 3.109
Downforce Frt: 0.75 Rear 0.91
ASM: 10 TCS 9
So far it's been winning, but you should use these settings as a base and go from there.
