Program For Making DVD Captures?

Is there a program I can download that will allow me to capture images on screen while a DVD is playing on my computer?

Edit: Found a program that will capture, now I need a player that allows me to advance through a DVD movie frame-by-frame. Windows Media Player doesn't seem to have this ability and the stupid InterActual player that comes with the DVD (Matrix Revolutions, for the record) is the crappiest of the crappy.

Its called the print screen button.

Oops .. didn't see your edit .. :dunce:

The print screen technique absolutely 100% does NOT work when trying to capture an image from DVD. Try it and you'll see...as soon as you eject the DVD, your image is lost. This is because of some complex explanation that I haven't got the time for, but suffice it to say the image is not really part of your desktop, but another layer created when you play a DVD. Anyway, it's useless; you have to download a program specifically designed to do this or it won't work.

Tried BSPlayer, it's not a DVD player and has very limited DVD playback capabilities. PowerDVD I couldn't find to download. I need a DVD player that will allow me to advance frame by frame to get the best image on screen so I can capture it. Does PowerDVD have this ability?

I use the ASUS version of PowerDVD which came with my graphics card. It's called ASUSDVD XP. It allows you to capture screens and advance frame by frame.

There are example screenshots from it in this post

You owe it to yourself to find PowerDVD. It's the best dvd playback program out there. And yes, it goes frame by frame
