I thought I would begin working on a 'project car' on GT-5, and chose a crummy car as my starter car. I therefore purchased a 1997 Suzuki Alto Works RS-Z from the UCD, and began my job. The little Suzuki had 3091km on the clock, and began with a power output of 63bhp and a weight of 710kg. It's my job to improve that, so I present to you...
Project Alto-Ego
With its combination of long straights, twisting turns and uneven surfaces; Trial Mountain will by my testbed for Alto-Ego. I will be making frequent improvements to the car until the tuning is maxed out.
Here's my initial lap time of Trial Mountain, in the standard car with no tuning: 2:07:622
(Transmission - Auto; Tyres - Comfort Medium; driving line - on; TCS - 4; SRF - off; Active Steering - off; ASM - off; ABS - off; grip reduction - real; Mechanical Damage - light; CSS - 0)*
*This configuration will be used for all my runs, apart from tyres
Anyway; the first upgrades were:-
Total price on upgrades: Cr. 5,400
New Power: 68bhp
New Weight: 700kg
New lap time: 2:07.174
So, only a slight improvement. Let's see if I can make any improvements next time. I'd also appreciate it if other GTPlaneters would post stories of their project cars on this thread. Thanks!
