This is a preview of the PS4 version, so that's awesome! Previews like this will make me more likely to pre-order PC2 for my PS4.

Upfront apologies to all because this really great preview is in Dutch only. But maybe google translate helps or I can assist :) If you're not already hyped you should read this.

Tweakers.net is well known for their independent honest pre/reviews. In a nutshell: PCars2 will be the best pick of 2017 according to them.

BTW also the comments are sometimes hilarious. The b*tchfight between the well known titles continues ;)

Nice review. This caught my attention
racing up to 31 computer-controlled opponents.
Hope we race against a larger field.

What annoyed me about that Eurogamer one was that comment about with Porsche being in, that means the GTE and GT3 fields are pretty much complete. Firstly, the 911 RSR isn't in game. (Unless SMS have completely surprised us) Secondly, it ignores the importance of Ferrari and Lamborghini.

That's just their review though. It'd be more productive for all of us, to post big "Thank You" posts, on Ferrari's & Lamborghini's media pages(Twitter, FB, etc. :)

Nice to read these previews. Overall positive and we have to keep in mind these previews are based on a build version of about 2-3 months ago.

What triggered me also was the Uploadvr.com preview --> one of the best VR looking games available on the market. Actually I did not want to read that. Now I need to buy a Oculus and probably a beasty PC... ...besides my PSPro and PSVR or SMS will confirm within a couple of weeks  the PSVR will also be supported in near future?

And to stay on topic hereby my addition:

Thanks for sharing this.

Is the preview build really that old?
Not 100% sure but what I recall is that some Press previewers talked about 8 weeks (or so) old. But I do not know when the press actually made the previews. Therefor I think 2-3 months with a margin.

One more from Jimmy B. More positive this time.

Hat's off to Jimmy for listening to his audience and making a follow up. I respect his response, even if I still have other issues with his videos.

If nothing else, it is clear to see in this video that he is definitely enjoying himself, and after all, that is the main point of any video game.

It's always safe to say "You've made it" when you get featured in Rolling Stone.

Overall, a good article (thanks Google Translate ;) ). Very positive review with a lot of good impressions for the author, but yet again I find that even these so called "professional reviewers" can't distinguish between PHYSICS and FORCE FEEDBACK.

"The first thing that caught our attention when putting your hands on the steering wheel is the spectacular physics of cars. The first delivery already showed a fantastic simulation that allowed us to feel the vehicle on the asphalt, however, now the behavior is more faithful and transmits much more information , which is tremendously useful to master the most powerful cars and complicated surfaces ."

Maybe it's due to a poor translation by Google (quite possible), but far too often I see people talking about the "physics", and how the cars "feel". I cannot stress enough how very different and separate these two things are. I know I have ranted about this before, and for that I apologize, but it really cannot be reinforced enough. The only way to judge the phsyics in a video game is through the visual feedback. Does the car react the way you would expect it to react? Does it pitch forward under braking? Does it lean back under acceleration? Does the body lean to the left when turning right? Does it react properly when getting hit by another car, or hitting a wall, etc., etc.

Force Feedback is a completely different, and often independant, element in the game that is desinged to let you feel certain things in the game. Yes, I know, in pCARS1 and pCARS2 that FFB is derived from the physics engine but even though it may be derived from the physics engine, it does not tell you if the physics are ACCURATE. It is still very possible for the code to not translate the physics effects properly into meaningful FFB. On the other hand, some games have terrible physics, yet their FFB system might make use of genereic or "canned" FFB effects that make the game feel amazing.

/end rant

Thanks for sharing the video and the link @Donnced . I did enjoy reading it.

I just immediately picked up on that one statement and got irritated by it agian :)
