Isn't that exactly what i'm trying to say?
Let people make up their own minds...
Then you should have no issue with people stating an opinion, or do you intent to start popping into the comments of every review and policing that as well!

Right now all you are doing is dragging this thread massively off-topic because your nose got put out of joint, you've misquoted people and are now back-pedalling to try and look reasonable.

By all means, use whatever heavy-handed tactics you like to turn the official forums and discord into the echo-chamber you desire, but you don't get to do the same here at all.

Let's be honest, all you are now doing is dragging the day of the embargo lift off-topic and once again demonstrating just how little some SMS staff and those associated with them (that would be you) understand about the negative effect an ego-driven approach can have to your digital and social media marketing.

You want to carry this on, then PM me, but I can assure you that you have almost zero chance of being able to convince me that your attitude and behaviour in regard to those who have a critical view of parts of the title are not massively biased and driven by a desire to only hear positive voices.

Anyone here speaks Russian?

Don't speak Russian but I see a lot of new cars in there, bit odd to see the classes mix like that. The race with C8 at 4:13 is mostly GT3 and GTE but a Ford Falcon FG V8 Supercar is there too.

I'll post up the new cars on the car thread.

There are some pretty nice cars here and there

And Bugatti Chiron

To be honest... A lot of Mixed classes in this intro... I don't like that. Looks veeeeryyy Forza Like.

Judging by a quick look at that video, I'm so desperate, I'll take a dumbed down AI if it means the frame rate is kinder to my poor Xbox S.

Liking the look of the livery options, though.

I wonder how are they classing the cars for GT B and GT A, it has picture of a Cayman GT4 and NSX GT3 on those. GT Open after those 2 is mix class, got a Zonda R side by side Mclaren F1 GT1 Longtail.

I was thinking about Gran Turismo earlier today. For most of us who've partaken in online leagues, pit stops are a huge deal, but from my memory of GT5's single-player career mode at least, pit stops hardly featured until the end when the Endurance races unlocked. The same might be true for FM7 - please correct me if I'm mistaken. That might also have influenced PC3's focus.

Hopefully, SMS are working on pit stops behind the scenes for their next game. I suspect the added focus of stock/street vehicles would have caused issues with the pit crew animations, plus it might take 5 minutes to change tyres on a stock road car, which wouldn't be fun if simulated realistically. :)

Don't forget a lot of marketing for PC2 was spurred along by WMD members and large game shows, which was often regurgitated as online news articles and videos. Perhaps PC2 marketing would have been just as limited without the WMD boost???

If nascar (im not a fan of the sport) can change all the tires with 5 lug nuts each in under 20sec, then you can do the same on a road car.

So the animation shouldn't be an issue.

Mixed classes...and with the GT3 Cars a Ferrari 488 Challenge

Yeah it feel strange and very Forza like (i never liked mixing car classes).

First part of the video with the Mercedes.
Nice intelligent AI there.
Not.
Amazing, they just plough through him regardless.
Backward step

Project Cars Punterino.

AI looks blind

I always hate mixed classes like that, I hope there are options to disable that in the sandbox mode. I always skip those events in FM7 career, it just looks and feels weird for me.

Yeah... I still have pain that Pcars 3 didn't go Toca Race Driver route instead of Shift/Forza one... :(

SHIFT still keep the GT3 and GT1 in their own classes without mixing them up with the upgradable spec cars. Upgradable cars all go into the "works" class, it is still a better split than what was shown here so far.

Good point, but I was also thinking along the lines of what would be realistic for road cars on a circuit (track day/amateur racing)... drivers wouldn't pit at all during sessions unless there was an issue, and there wouldn't be a pit crew waiting. :)

I mean I have changed tyres and refuelled IRL with a caterham at a track day and in some amateur races that were longer than 45min, however there are track day/amateur racing events where people haven't gone into the pits as you mention

I like the look and feel of the UI/UX, the upgrades look good, however, once it gets into the racing the AI looks to be very punt-happy. It's the beta so I hope to hell that's been resolved, as the race from around 20 minutes in he restarts multiple times after getting punted repeatedly.

BTW - switch on the auto-translate subtitles, its hilarious watching youtube trying to manage it.

It's subjective of course but I think the UI looks horrible - both in terms of the menu side and the HUD. As for upgrades - not a feature I'd care about (though it looks like, in career mode at least, you kind of have to use them which would put me right off). Having to start off in a road car would be another negative for me. It's pretty much everything I don't want in terms of a single player racing game.

Basically that video just further confirms that the game SMS wanted to make isn't one I'm interested in getting, but I kinda knew that already.

As for that AI - that needs some serious work before release. Suicidal and murderous, both at the same time

And yeah, the auto translated subtitles are hilarious. It does seem to manage one word pretty well (and some variations) - begins with F, and crops up quite a lot once he starts racing the AI...

WoW... between the angry russian gameplay , that AI..glue effects in collisions like Pcars 1...all that arcady vibes, no tyre wear, no fuel consumption, basic damage, no pitstops..

Now more than sure I shouldn't be named project Cars 3...not even shift really.

Now I'm 100% sure (I was at 99% before) that it will be a NO BUY for me...

To play arcade with suicidal AI, I just go and play the wonderful Wreckfest, or going to play some driveclub... also.. even Forza and GT now seems quite more SIMs as that..

Quite unhappy to say that, cause with the Pcars 2 , SMS had a really good base to make a good intergen SIM.

Seems that finally Automobilista 2 is the real spiritual successor of Pcars 2

My Russian isn't very good but I'm sure he says something like - this is much more fun that Assetto Corsa - 200% more fun.

I really do hope they will come back to Project Cars 2 route in PCars 4... Lack of this kind of racing games on consoles will be tragic :(

I'd be happy with that. PC 3 to tide me over till next gen & a full blown PC. I definitely won't be buying the cheaper Xbox because of my frustration with PC on the Xbox S.

Ha, pretty sure I picked up 'I don't miss the pit stops at all!'

More fun than Assetto Corsa is not a high bar  - at least in singleplayer, Assetto is extremely dull. There's a reason people used to call it the "Chris Harris hotlap simulator"...

I do find the different reactions to the video fascinating. I watched it and thought - "this game is my worst nightmare". Others watched it and thought "Ooo there's some nice cars". Proof I suppose that SMS haven't completely misjudged the market.

Watched the video, but just a few snippets as the Russian guy is very annoying, mostly just swearing. I didn't really hear much useful info there for those wondering, but like I said I couldn't stand to watch the whole thing. Game does look more like a successor to NFS Shift than pCARS based on the presentation and what we can see from the gameplay, but with better physics. The AI part...looks suspicious for sure. We'll see what ends up happening in the end. AI seems to have issues in many games these days and sometimes can be partly mitigated by very conservative driving, so I'm not going to judge it just yet.

The russian boy certainly is annoying swearing all the time, and sucks at playing the game so hard. However, and I mean the AI..., is the game going to be released with the AI being like that?, because terrible is putting it softly, and it will certainly ruin career mode very quick.
