Audi A1 Quattro.

The original season pass leaked a long time ago IS true after all.
SMS just created a new page featuring all the upcoming content - http://www.projectcarsgame.com/on-demand.html . Some of you might not see what I reported below on the page but I am seeing it now on the mobile version.

  • Our free car this month is the Audi A1 Quattro.
  • The first track expansion releasing in July is Audi Ruapuna Park which comes with five layouts of the New Zealand circuit along with three infamous Prototype and GT cars from the Audi racing heritage such as: Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro, Audi R8 LMP900 and Audi 90 IMSA GTO.
  • On their car pack section, they also mention upcoming American muscle and US stock, Japanese road machines, British LMP and GT, classic and modern-day open wheel, touring, and track day vehicles.
I just saw this new page too! Monthly free car? Car packs? Track packs? Free livery packs? Patches to address customer feedback? Well...:bowdown: And what is SMS address for me to mail them my credit card?

Alright, now that I am back at my home computer, I will post every detail that I managed to see from that page.

  • Every month they are going to release a free car, their plan is to deliver another 9 free cars in the upcoming months starting with the Audi A1 Quattro.
  • Each month, we are going to receive a new pack of Community Liveries.
  • Starting today, every player that missed out on pre-ordering or getting hold of the Limited Edition will be able to download the Modified Car Pack and Limited Edition Car Pack from Steam, Playstation and Xbox Games Store.
  • Project CARS will expand the track roster with 12 additional locations consisting of road tracks, historic locations, modern circuits and ovals. In July we get the first track expansion pack which has the Ruapuna Park International Raceway with the following 5 layouts: GP, Club, Outer Loop, A and B. It also comes with 3 new cars: 2014 Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro, Audi R8 LMP900 and 1989 Audi 90 IMSA GTO.

AUDI E-TRON!!!!!!

I saw the R8 LMP1 in that video in the background...I predict an Audi legends pack.

Will the Audi 90 be able to race with the group 5s or will it be too quick?
Trans-Am car...will join the Mustang. :sly:

You still don't understand the concept of limited so putting a number of 100.000 to it is a moot point. McDonalds do a limited edition run of burgers, they probably sell millions but it's still LIMITED.

You knew what the deal was from the start, either pre-order or live in America, so there's no point crying on here like you didn't get a chance to acquire the LIMITED edition cars pack.

You say anyone can use a US PSN card, great news, why don't you do that?

I understand the concept of limited. There's just no good reason for making the cars limited. Preorder bonuses relating to in-game content are a bad practice. It's like a poison that is spreading through the game industry right now. It splits the community and encourages preorders based on the desire not to miss out, instead of expectation that the game is good and wanting to support the dev. Devs are exploiting this tendency by releasing preorder bonuses with games that lack polish, so people will put their money down early.

Honestly, there's no need to be so elitist. What good does witholding content from your fellow racers do? You preordered, you got the steel case, the book and the cars early. You got the game from Day 1 and you supported SMS by paying more. So what if people get the cars eventually? You lose nothing, but everyone else gains.

I have no problem with the concept of something being limited, but it needs to be done right. The steel case and book I can deal with, but not cars or tracks. Making in-game content limited is taking a piss out of customers.

The burger analogy is not quite right. A special burger is a completely different product. It's like comparing PCARS with another game entirely. Better analogy would be if McDonalds sold you a Big Mac with full content for limited time only, then after that you only get half the fillings. Ridiculous right? I don't mind not getting the happy meal toys that come with it, but I want my burger to be complete. As it should be.

Anyway, I'll stop here because I don't want to derail the thread any further. Also seeing as it's confirmed the cars will be released for everyone soon. Carry on with the DLC discussion peeps 👍

Audi ran a 200 Quattro in Trans-Am. The 90 Quattro in the screenshots is from the IMSA GT series.
Oh...well...I have no idea then wbere they would put it lol. Maybe Group 5...or maybe they're giving us IMSA GT.

I think community liveries are going to be every other month.

I'm very interested in community liveries since i'm on ps4 my only chance is to create one and have it added through a patch update; my question is:
How are they chosen? By community votes? Dev's favorites? Ios there a submit form?

Thanks a lot to all and anyone can can shed some light over this.

That I have no idea on, but I suspect on the WMD guys may know.

Fingers crossed one of they can give us the info, as I too would love to know the answer.

I can dig this. Even though I do pre-order games I know I'm going to like and play a lot, I also think it's bad practice overall to make the pre-order content exclusive for more than a very short time. Just allow the pre-order people access to the content for a month or so, then give it away as free DLC. I also believe that in games of this nature, tracks should also be free or at least usable by everybody online and in official events (if that's technically possible), otherwise it really splits the userbase. Sell the cars, give away the tracks, keep the userbase together and moving forward for the overall, long term good of the franchise.

None at this time. SMS cancelled season pass plan to allow them more flexibility to offer DLC at any time.
Interesting. A "Season Pass" truly does commit them to hit monthly deadlines for release. I don't like the idea of the "Season Pass" and I am glad they went another direction with it.

As for the current DLC of 5 great cars for $2.99 USD on Steam, is an incredible deal in my opinion.

The DLC for US should be out in a few more hours. PSN actually starts adding stuff to the store at early noon. Then like around the evening time that's when playstation blog lets everyone know what's on the store.

Tasty!

Also nice they go for tracks that are less common in racing games, never before have i seen or driven Ruapuna Park.
Wow, so refreshing. It's nice to have all the big and popular tracks and we definitely need some more of those down the line, but keep the mix of eclectic, challenging and fun but less well known tracks coming:tup: In AC most of the mod tracks that I really enjoyed were tracks just like this. Eastern Creek and Barbagallo were simply fantastic drivers tracks will little room for error and Ruapana looks to be the same kind of track. Should be great fun but I do hope they have some very strict track boundaries.:ouch:
