Considering the general dissatisfaction with the sound of the Falcon, I wouldn't be surprised if it got revised sounds in patch 9. Yes, there are plenty of other cars in the game that has inaccurate sounds, but V8 Supercars is - next to BTCC - the most requested addition to the game. I think the Falcon is, by a good margin, the most anticipated dlc car to be released so far.

2 Words: Ian Bell.
But maybe, just maybe they will fix it, but with it being the free car they aren't gonna benefit from changing it as much as they would if it was a payed DLC.

Its not hard to pinch the copy/ paste the sound from the mustang GT4, Z4 GT3, SCCA Trans Am Mustang or even the Aston GTE,

DLC is out in Australia

With the Falcon, will they create a new class called "V8 Supercars" for career or will it slot into the gt4 or perhaps gt3 existing class?

It's the only dlc car that interests me.

I think SMS need to fill out the V8 Supercar class with two more tracks, and full lineup of participating cars.

It's no longer just Ford and Holden going at it. Nissan, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG V8 Supercars and Volvo.
So we are talking five car models. Then add a couple of tracks like Sandown and Phillip Island...........Boom!
Hard to understand why SMS did not at least produce a Holden to race against the Ford :odd:

Obtaining a V8 Supercars license isn't done over night. they are working on landing the license for pCARS2 at least.
I'm guessing the V8SC license works similar to the modern DTM license, in that you can include one car from the series without the series license, but any more requires the license for the racing series itself.

Falcon is in its own class, V8 Supercars. Not sure if there will be a career invitational for it though, maybe somebody who has the DLC can answer that.

I was mocked last time I commented this (on the Renault pack) but I really feel the Falcon is missing something since it doesn't have any real liveries, I know it's a driving game not a car museum but I really like historical accuracy of driving a car I've seen on the tv winning races.

As for the actual car it feels good to drive, it's very nervous out of the slow corners and has a loose end around the fast ones (much like it would look in a real session - regardless of the colours), I would've posted a video of the race I was in with it but for some reason half the cars in the race didn't make the replay.

And what about the new track ?

I actually quite like it, from the map it looks like a recycled Misty Loch (From TD:FRL, which wasn't anything special) but it's totally different, it has the feel of an old road course like the Spa layout we won't be getting. Lots of fast corners which encourage you're either slow around or right on the limit of a big crash. There were quite a few lobbies up earlier with all the new stuff that you could try.

V8 Supercar class. Why the **** would they try and fit it into GT3 or GT4? :odd:[/Q

SMS don't have Volvo license.
SMS don't have Nissan license.
No such thing as a Mercedes E63 AMG V8 Supercar - that is an Erebus and not even officially recognised by Mercedes.
GM maybe for future.

As of this year Erebus are running Walkinshaw Holdens anyway. No more Merc. That V8 Supercar sounds awful. Seriously, just watch iRacing or Game Stock Car Extreme (with the SuperV8) footage on YouTube to see how well other games are doing it.

Let's hope so. It took them so long to finish this car and yet it appears as though they have a) certainly not recorded the sound from the actual car, and b) perhaps never even taken the time to watch a YouTube video to understand what the car actually sounds like!

At least most other cars have roughly the right sound characteristic (i.e. V8, V10, inline 5 etc.) The Falcon doesn't even sound close. For what should be a screaming pushrod V8, it sounds like something between a flat plane DOHC V8 and a highly strung 4 cylinder prototype car.

Not even close to the mark...
