The Aston is a little too fast for these cars. Looking at the physics tracker in WMD, the Aston uses the same tires as the R18 TDI and the fictional LMP1 cars. It also qualified at a respectable 3:26 in 2010 (close to the R18's 2011 qualifying time). I'd expect it to be in the modern LMP1 class.
I think you are getting mixed up with the Aston Martin DBR1-2 LMP1 2009. The GTE would be left for dead in the LMP1 class.

Reason i spent 0.00$ on dlcs...

Yeah, considering the make-up of the career mode, that would've made much more sense. The current DLC just seems bitty, like they can't focus on any one thing.

I personally like the variety of cars in each of the lacks, for example, after racing in the Audi 2014 lmp1 for a few days, I got a little bored and went to the IMSA 90 and fell in love with that car.

Each to his own offcourse, but I have all DLC's and regret none of them.
Even if there would be only one car you like in the DLC, it is very cheap compared to e.g. iRacing, where you pay 13$ for ONE car.
That is more or less true, but i have no interest in oldies beside F1 cars and road cars are things for gt6... This make current dlc less interesting to me. And ruapuna, well why ruapuna? We are waiting for mugello, zaandvort, old hockenheim and a gazillion great tracks like Portimao, kilayami nurb24h (list goes on forever....)

I can see your point, clearly. Don't care too much for road cars either, but since my wife recently bought a A1, I was happy to receive that (it was free btw).
As for the formula's, I only used the Lotus 86, have very little interest in open wheelers. Why Ruapuna ? Don't know. It can be fun though (except in a thunderstorm/LMP1 combination) but I would have prefered another track too (Nürburg 24 is high on my list). But, as I wrote, I am not complaining. Every DLC had some nice things and since they are cheap...

Well you see the game here was 70euro, and at current state i do not find correct to have to pay for any non top notch DLC... If i payed it a more reasonable 50ish i would have probably dished out, but really not having theme car packs is stopping me.

I may sound silly but give me mugello+3 WTCC cars in one pack and i would be happy to pay 10-15$, but paying less for "un-organized" random content filled with oldies and road cars is.. meh for me :P

Might just be me i know :D

(Although I have purchased all DLC...) Having themed packs may be closer to "on demand" than current strategy. WTCC, BTCC, Italian Supercars, Historic Cars, etc.

Edit: theme based on car type. SMS currently have DLC themes. (But anything can be grouped into a theme with choice words.)

Until I see actual proof, I tend to believe this is urban myth. On top of that, I don't think licensing costs are anywhere near as high as what we think they are. Think about PCars for example. They licensed 70 cars and a bunch of tracks on their small budget without a problem. Even if you took half their entire budget, assuming $7M, that's around $40k/car or track. Ferrari has appeared in many games including Assetto Corsa which has only sold in the neighbourhood of 300k copies.
Kunos are Italians though :D
I think that goes a long way in Ferrari land.

All the content of the next DLC seems to have been shown (more than one time), could that mean something? :D

I don't know, I mean, I can't imagine them still teasing the next DLC for a week when they already showed all the content.

I should clarify from my earlier post...I was a beta tester and I do own all the DLC and regret none of it. Just really wish they'd fleshed out classes - I'd be much happier.

For those worrying about DLC - it's already cheap, and come the next Steam sale...at 50% you're talking $1-3 per DLC. Scoop them all up for $15 and call it a day. I'm more anxious about the tracks than the cars in the next DLC. DLC-wise, it's all a great value as it is. On sale, it'll be a tremendous value.

I hope we can "race" on the actual test-track. When it was in the game earlier you had some various sections, but I don't recall racing there or not.

So it's going to be a pack of cars along with one track right? Because I actually hope they can add two or three tracks in a pack instead of getting one at a time sometime in the future. I know I'm being impatient,:p I just wanna drive on some ovals soon along with 2013 NASCAR and Indy cars:D Also maybe redbull ring can be a addition in future DLC.

The Aston pack looks awesome, can't wait.

Does anyone who's a little more connected with the development team know anything about the Ford FG V8 Supercar? I've seen it's name pop up on a few lists, I hope it's still on their list of cars to develop.

Bathurst + modern V8 Supercars would make this game near perfect for me

Hopefully we get more than just the falcon, but it's a good start. I just don't wanna end up in a Gran Turismo type scenario where we have one single V8 supercar with no friends for it to play with lol.

Edit: This game already reminds me of V8 Supercars Race Driver 3, having more Aussie tracks and V8 supercars will just make it even more like that amazing game. It's been too long since Codies released that gem.

Amen to that! Although I would still be happy with one car as the liveries will no doubt be fictional anyway.

While not wanting to cause somebody to pass out and needing a defibrilator again :D I have to say that I dont think that all the cars of the Aston pack have been shown. They also licensed this DB212 or whatever it was called, so I think we ll either be getting that or a replacement (happened before with cars that didnt make too much sense in the context of the game in the end, like the '08 BMW F1).

The Falcon was starting to get modeled shortly before the release of the game. If you use your google-fu right, I bet you can find some WIP shots. ;) Not sure if they will ever get the Holden or any other Aussie V8 licensed though, there were no signs saying so unfortunately. And yes, thats a bad miss.

If you look at that list, there is 4 cars missing: http://www.projectcarsgame.com/cars.html

3 Aston and 1 Mercedes.
