Project cars DLC

I know it was a mod but for GTR2 you could create custom championships and you could choose the amount of cars per race which would be limited by the number of grid spaces. I would like to think that if you created a championship with a 45 car limit that the cars in the race would automatically downscale based on tracks.
Let's hope it gets up and running quickly then, it sounds great and would probably mean I won't be restarting my career anytime soon.

What ever happened to the Scottish road location?

I try to keep updated through this thread and Insta, but I haven't seen it mentioned in a long while.
Along this line of thinking of DLC...

Any info on the other "historic" tracks taken from the Track List post?

- Bannochbrae (fictional historic GP track located in the Scottish highlands)
- Hockenheim (Pre 2002)
- Rouen Les Essarts
- Historic Milan -
Monza (1967. GPL2.)
- Historic Milan Oval
- Silverstone 1975
- Solitude Rennstrecke
- Spa Historic

Those would be some kind of awesome. Hard to imagine them all being released at the same time.

Before implementing custom championships I think SMS should make improvements to solo mode first:
-include the option to set race length by time/distance/number of laps
-include the option to specify which classes are allowed in multiclass races (or maybe lets us choose the car for each AI opponent)
-include the option to have 2-3 races per weekend with the option to adjust race length individually as well as define grid order for race 2/3 (qualifying 2, previous race result, etc)

I imagine it would be easier to implement custom championships after the stuff above is worked out.

We basically know what we gonna get once SMS release that first pic teasing the DLC for November. If we see a pic of a indy car or Nascar then that's what we getting. Same goes for the other packs. If they release a pic of one of those lotus then we will be getting that.

With no talent files, what's the point. Average a top 5 and you win the championship every time. In gtr2, race 07 etc., they had talent files so at least the a.I. had some consistency.

So a friend of mine got this on his ps4 when he started a new career in gt4 class

Yes! I achieved the same - selected the BMW GT4 offer, grinded through the first championship (retire to pit box at start of race), then received an offer for the 86 RB.

Light car, tail-happy, and OMG the sound of overrun and the rev limiter are incredible.

A few weeks back I drove the Aston GTE before release after an offer in GT3 - unless they change the code, it seems like a proven way to get a sneak-peek!

Does the Toyota GT86 actually fit into GT4? It seems to be more of a tuner than a real race car.
Following the SMS theme for dlc so far of "All dlc cars will be OP right out of the box, BoP later."

I'd guess it fits right on the podium nicely.

Going to have to be mega OP to defeat my Aston V8 GT4 and the BMW M3 GT4, not to mention the Ginetta.

Project CARS is the best racing game graphics and realism, beating Forza 6 and GT6 widely. In driving simulation and physics maybe not.

What is the reason you have shortage of cars?

These are cars that everyone wanted to play on Project CARS in Forza6 and GT6 can play.

maybe Polyphony Digital and Turn 10 have paid much money to the builders do not give license to Project CARS, for fear of being overcome.

PCars blows GT away in terms of simulation and physics. I can't speak for Forza, I don't have the game.

As for the cars well the equation is simple. Cars = money. The more money you have, the more cars you have. With budgets in the mid to high 8 figures, Forza and GT have as much as 10x the money + Sony/MS backing to develop their games. The fact that PCars had 70 or so cars to start, the best track roster IMO of any racing game, and is re-investing some of the revenue from sales into pumping out DLC at a prodigious rate is amazing. In just a few months they've already exceeded the DLC car total for all of GT6 over nearly 2 years and that's on a sliver of the budget PD has.

The GT86 GT4 is a real car
http://www.gprmltd.com/gprm-building-gt86-for-cost-efficient-gt4/
However i cant find any evidence to suggest that it has any GT4 events or competition
http://gt4cup.com/cars.php
But it does appear to be currently homologated for GT4
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GT4_European_Series

Okay, from that point of view it fits. However, the real GT86 GT4 doesn't have a tuner bodykit made by Rocket Bunny, the car ingame has. That's what my initial concern is about. Hence I'm wondering how it fits in there.

Is he wearing the Audi overalls? That bug/glitch(?) Happens a lot in game. But to see it in an semi-advertisement is funny.

I don't think they are the Audi gloves. I'm pretty sure they have a grey patch on the back of the hand. I have had that happen quite a bit. It is a minor issue but looks very amateurish. I think the first leaked gameplay video of the upcoming Toyota TS040-HYBRID had the driver in Audi gloves.

The system used by PD is great whereby each manufacturer has it's own suit so as to avoid this silly situation.

I was a little upset we never got the customized helmet/coveralls thing they were talking about really early in the Beta. While it's something you'd rarely see...I thought it would have been a nice touch. You can still edit them I think with photoshop (or you could in the Beta) but it would have been a nice in-game option.

I hope this DLC is like around $3.00. But it's probably gonna end up being around $4.99 because all of the cars. Idk if im gonna buy this DLC right away like i had with the others. And i hope it releases this Tuesday coming up so it can be out of the way and we can start getting hype about November huge track expansion.:D
