For me on the softs the fronts wear more than twice as fast. I don't think driving style and setup will make up that big of a difference. I didn't even change the setup that much. Default setup is already pretty good.
Gotta say, the Radbull is a whole kettle of crazy... Like the Yellowbird on steroids. No, make that the yellowbird with a reactor in the back.
So you wont be driving the Falcon at all untill pcars 2?

100% agree. Would be happy with the 2015 or 2016 model.Gotta say, after seeing those corvettes battling in the last few laps, I am 1000% ready for a c7r in pcars!
Are you drifting the Radbul using the stock setup? I tried doing this and find it to be horrible so I've been trying my own setups although it takes a while to perfect.
It's possible in all the versions, the Tyres are named "Nitto NT05"I did not know for the scion and 1mis it possible on console or just PC?
So is it just the new pack cars that can use the "drift" tires? It's possible in all the versions, the Tyres are named "Nitto NT05"![]()
Having a feeling that the next DLC will probably be Indy car + track OR corvette/Mercedes+track and NOT everything combined.![]()
No, because the scion is from the Japanese car pack.So is it just the new pack cars that can use the "drift" tires?
I have to say, despite the sound being off (which I'm still dirty about), the FG Falcon is already my favorite car to drive.
Around Bathurst, it just feels... right. Good job SMS. But fix the sound god damn it!!!
They're working on it. Relax.
Since when?
I must try that as several people have recommended it.Falcon around Ruapuna is good fun too. 👍

Last night's challenge was to go through Bannochbraes Maggie's Chicane as quick as possible without using the FA. I did 237km/h in my TS040-HYBRID.
NITTO NT05 is a street legal radial high performance tire similar to Advan Neova AD08 and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires ( it has excellent dry grip for track ready performance ), the NT05 is well known also for good durability ( UTQG 140-200 ), often still has good grip after 2000+km of heavy use. If Pcars needs special tires made for drifting, something is wrong there.
The next things has been said from Casey Ringley:
"New tires for it (Nitto NT05) are a modified version of our Nitto NT01 road tire with better behavior ‘post-peak’ to aid control when in a big slide. It works on some ideas which became apparent to our tire guru after getting to do some ride-alongs with Formula D drivers. Basically it adds lateral grip when sliding as a result of the tire surface turning into a gooey layer with slower response and balances with how it fades away from heat buildup."
They're available for the Radbull mx5. And also for the scion "rocket bunny" and the M1 Stanceworks... They are looking for make them available also for other cars.
He also responded this to a person ho asked if they are essential "drift" tyres:
"They aren't a "drift" tire per say. They are a new tire which has updated behavior just over the grip limit. Ideally, the other tires in the same category have the same tweaks but it makes it a safer change to only apply the updated model to a newer tire."
So, resume... They aren't essential "drift" Tyres, but they're be better for drift with.

You can drift with NT01 as well in real life, no specific tire necessary.
So many things wrong with the quote there, the NT01 is a better tire than NT05, specific for track ( DOT competition tire ), while NT05 can be used in the street ( including wet ), in real life, you can pick Advan AD08, Bridgestone RE01 or Pilot Cup for drifting or track racing. What matters is how the car is setup, not the tire.
There's no such thing as a better tire for drift, you can drift on budget all season tires, it all depend on how much power the car has, how much grip you want to have. The high speed drift with big power car and big angle of FD or D1GP required to use high grip radial tires like NITTO NT05, but you can use other brand radial tires as well, like Michelin Pilot, Advan Neova AD series, Bridgestone RE series, Toyo R tires etc.
Ideally, any street legal high performance tires in Pcars can be used to drift, track racing / grip driving etc, with only car setup that needs to be changed to suit, not the tires getting specific treatment.

He isn't saying that the NT05 is better drift tire than the NT01 in real life, he is just saying that the NT05 in the game is a NT01 with new (experimental) values to make them more realistic in a sliding situation.
