I'm liking the little details such as the tyre rubber being flung up by the car in front. Great sounds too. Not just the engine but the ambient suspension noises etc.

One concern is that the AI often dab their brakes on and off mid corner. Always annoying in previous games if you're following closely. You learn to ignore it, but shouldn't have to.
They seem to have a bit more grip than the driver too. Perhaps that's just the Saleen though or maybe due to the high difficulty setting. It'd be good to see it lower with them possibly making mistakes.

There's a hint in here somewhere.

It's something we couldn't do in PC2. Creating a Custom Championship with the tools from PC2 would indeed be amazing. Classic race date, classic signage, avatars spectating, live track, all the liveries and driver suits. That'd be cool.
For me, custom championships would be the final nail in the coffin for gt7. This is the one feature i’ve been hoping gt7 would have but it looks like that’s never happening

Looks fun, fast feel, glad the ai seems to be moving smoothly at least, unlike in pc2 where they jerked abruptly left right.
And they seem to not slow down too much in curves, and not give up and fade away when side by side etc.

Just hope they are also fun, convincing, fair otherwise.

Good movement feel inside car.
i love the helmet pov in acc, and find boring now in comparison the cockpit pov in it.
You need that to compensate for the lack of feel of not being in a car for real, for the thrill at least.

A must experience most probably for me, need clean up my g29 pedals 1st.😁

So thats 2 new cars that are now confirmed. Looks like the Chevrolet Corvette C5.R (Right) and in front of that is a Cadillac Northstar LMP (ran in 2000-02)

Makes me wonder if Krass Racing pulled a lot of strings helping S4S b/c they currently own a Panoz GTR-1 & LMP-S alongside 2 C5Rs. They were also caretakers for one of the iconic yellow Compuware C5Rs like in the screen shot and 1 of the Northstar LMP02s.

Agree - nothing to complain regarding that video. I suppose for the price of say 4 full meals and drink at a decent restaurant. Not really much to loose. Would easily get a years value out of first year purchase. Will decide by end of October.
For me being on console, there's not too many options for sim racing currently with Forza being abruptly ended. This looks to scratch that itch of what I have been looking for since PC2.

Is it hinted at in any way if BMW and Ferrari will be included? They're either keeping them very well under wraps for a great last minute reveal or perhaps getting ready to soften the blow....

I’m interested in this one for the different tracks and for the opportunity to platinum a game I like, so hopefully the game is easy on that front, rather than a grind.

Can’t see the multiplayer taking me away from GT though, but I do remember playing a lot of PC2 multiplayer back then, so hopefully this title joins my playlist which only has GT and a FPS at present (BF6)

Then there’s rennesport coming soon too 😉

Doesn’t look like a grind for the platinum, maybe just a bit difficult (for someone like me anyway). You have to play in Authentic mode (max AI, no restarts). Depends just how diabolically fast max AI is.

Been checking the reactions in some PC places like overtake and the sim racing reddit. Apparently the footage looks awful, sounds awful and has terrible AI  . They really want this one to fail. I guess that’s because it’s on console as well.

At least it will give us something to chase. Max AI seems pretty quick as that gameplay video was done with max AI and the developer who recorded it said he was pretty much at his and the cars limit.

I cannot stand sim racing Reddit pages, so full of elitism and shockingly bad takes. Even if you felt the visuals could be better, there is absolutely no way on this earth that the sound can be criticsed unless you have absolutely zero idea what it sounds like to be inside a racing car. You're right, it is console, it's known that (according to devs) it will handle well on a gamepad, that's enough for some people to demean the game and anyone who likes the look of it. Don't like overtake.gg either, much prefer Traxion.

looks very interesting. As time passes by, i am more interested. Have to wiait for the -honest-reviews. Imsa licence, pretty atractive for me. Hopefully they will include more americans track from the championship. PSVR2 support would be a dream...And sounds pretty good. My worries are the bugs and glitches, those killed my PC 1 and 2 experience

Looks fun enough. Does have that Project cars 1/2 style or some DNA is present. This does look like it will be fun.

I have arrived and I'm ready to criticize! After watching the footage yesterday, my only complaints are the image looks very flat color/contrast wise; the same issue that seems to plague almost every PC sim. Be nice if there was some image adjustment sliders. And second, some of the sound is weird. Like the little extra tings, clangs, and creaks in the car sound weird to me. The car should be deafeningly loud and yet these tiny sounds seem a little too loud in comparison. They stand out. I couldn't help but notice it.

That's all my complaints for now. I've deliberately avoided information about the game cause I like to be surprised. Very much looking forward to this though as I love Project Cars 2 and GTR2 is great. So far this looks like it has good potential other than my two nitpicks above. My first thought it to get it on PC for the power, features, flexibility etc etc.. But it would also be cool to have it on PS5 Pro and have the simplicity and trophies etc.

To be honest I think the colour thing is a totally fair criticism. It looks like it was recorded in HDR but not uploaded in HDR if you get what I mean. I've done that before and ended up with a similarly flat image.

I know this puts me in a box, but being on PS5, no racing game will tempt me unless it uses PSVR2.
If this game ever does then I will definitely buy it just to be able to race different cars and tracks than GT7.

There is just no way I can race flat screen anymore.....

Officially up to 32 cars (depends on how many pit boxes the track has). Can be increased with mods.

Don’t know about animations.
Will be interesting to see whether that's really true on consoles though...

I remember playing PC2 on my base model XB1 and getting some really weird physics things when running big grids. I could run fine in test drive, then set up the race a full grid and all kinds of weird stuff would happen, from my car loading in with 45 degrees of negative camber, bumps and kerbs causing roll overs, cars feeling toed out significantly, etc. I thought I was going insane until I posted here about it and got a helpful response and dug into it more.

I ended up finding a post somewhere that was compiled by a group of people who tested, that had recommended grid maximum grid sizes for each track on each console. It also included recommended adjustments based on whether you wanted to have weather, multiclass, dynamic time of day, etc. It was super helpful, but a game shouldn't need that to have a decent experience.

Hopefully we don't have that issue again, but it's kinda tough to be optimistic with the way so many gaming related things have gone in the last while...

It says up to 32 on the PS Store. I asked the devs on the discord and they confirmed it, for single player and multiplayer on console and PC, for "performance reasons" which I guess means that's all the consoles can handle. Hence the ability to remove the limit with mods on PC.

I'm 100% with you.

What is full force?

What is FullForce?

Last updated: June 10, 2025
Built for the instant response and zero backlash of direct drive systems, FullForce is a new force feedback protocol developed by FANATEC®. It fuses high-fidelity vibration cues with the core force feedback signal to deliver a more immersive driving experience. When the direct drive base is securely hard mounted, FullForce can transmit these vibrations through the entire frame, bringing your cockpit to life.

CS_DD_fullforce_8708

While most of today’s racing simulators are effective at replicating realistic steering forces, they often fall short in capturing the finer details that real-world drivers experience behind the wheel. Subtle sensations such as the rumble of the engine, the textured feedback from varying road surfaces, or the sudden vibrations signaling a loss of traction are typically absent. These elements play a role in how drivers connect with their vehicles and could help them to react more intuitively during critical moments.

Enhanced force feedback

FANATEC®’s FullForce technology addresses this gap by enabling developers to incorporate these nuanced tactile cues directly into the force feedback signal. Whether derived from in-game physics or audio sources, these high-fidelity vibration effects add a new layer of realism to the sim racing experience. When paired with a securely hard-mounted direct drive system, FullForce can transmit these vibrations through the entire frame of a racing cockpit, creating a more dynamic, immersive connection between the driver and the virtual environment.

FullForce Features

FullForce is a force feedback feature exclusive to Fanatec’s ClubSport DD and ClubSport DD+ direct drive bases. iRacing is the first title to support this feature, which improves the realism of the force feedback signal. iRacing provides a dedicated set of sliders to allow the user to fine-tune the behavior of the effects.

Here are our recommended settings for iRacing’s Wheel Low Frequency Effects:

  • Enable Wheel LFE: On
  • Use Physics Effects: On
  • Main Volume: 0dB
  • Car Body Impact: 0dB
  • Engine: 0dB
  • Gear Change: 10dB
  • Rev Limiter: 10dB
  • Rumble Strip: 10dB
  • Wheel Slip: 10dB
  • Road Texture: -25dB
The overall strength of FullForce can be adjusted to your preference in the Fanatec Tuning Menu, (shown as ‘FUL’ in most wheel displays).

CS_DD_fullforce_8789

While the Engine and Road Texture channels are dynamic (changing frequency as the revs rise or when the vehicle speed increases for example), their constant vibration can somewhat mask the other effects, so some users might prefer to run these much lower. It is not recommended to run all the sliders at max, as this tends to ‘clip’ the output and potentially could reduce the fidelity.
