GM not holding back.

If they copy FM and release like this, maybe they can do the updates better than FM and not abandon that. They did seem quick to fix their AI so maybe they can get it out of this "pre-alpha" quickly?

I'm not seeing the performance issues he talks about on the console videos. From comments elsewhere it seems like a CPU bottleneck issue on the PC version.

Career details

To begin with, the Championships in Project Motor Racing's career mode are either a series of events or single races, where you compete against the AI in a predetermined format on circuits either around the world or on one continent. Each race has a practice session and a qualifying session before the race.

Using the Derby 300 as an example, these single races are endurance events that require you to complete 300km of a specific circuit. In this case, it will be 73 laps of Donington Park with no restarts... If you want an authentic career mode, Project Motor Racing delivers it with all the intensity of the real thing.

Be warned, there is no mid-race save for these endurance races, so once those lights go green, you are locked in to see that chequered flag at the end of the 300km race.

YEah, some odd stuff going on in the Traxion stream as well with his GPU usage. Definitley seems to be some PC specific issues.

ISR had trouble dialing in the FFB on his Logitech DD wheel on PS5. About the biggest issue I have seen from console stuff.

I think we all knew, deep down, that it would release in exactly the same state as early access games, but at £80 and not called early access. Hopefully AC EVO 0.4 will follow a week or so after PMR releases.

Watching the PS5 video they posted in Italian, where it's clear he's playing with a controller, I get the feeling the driving is more arcade-like than in PC2. He makes quite sharp braking maneuvers and turns without ever losing control, whereas those same movements in PC2 would result in spinouts or a complete loss of control. This is just my personal opinion, of course.

YouTube gets worse and worse each month then they make it worse than you thought it was. It's become insufferable with it's ads. They couldn't possibly make it worse, so I'll wait for them to prove me wrong in a month.

I think many are waiting to see how controller implementation handles.
YouTube has literally got worse THIS WEEK on mobile. The standard screen with the video at the top and the advert/other videos below - the advert is now >50% of the screen and the video you want to watch? Get a magnifying glass to view it... 😡

No mid-race save? Aaaaaaaaargh...

It's not so bad. Using that example, 300 kms of Donington Derby, a British GT3 race is just over 2 hours. Of course that race has a driver swap, you don't do it all yourself.

The pause button still works, right? :nervous:

Inside Sim Racing on PS5.

Funny how content creators are. In ways they sort of help shape games do they not? Then you’ve got him there (“a car guy”)… is that a third gen? Is that a third gen? I think that’s a third gen? Can’t expect people to know every car I suppose.

Graphics look ok. Almost too sharp of lines to my eyes, like no edges are that crisp in real life sort of thing.

Sounds are good.

No trueforce? Come on S4. Lame.

Weird oscillations, hmmm, had that in project cars 2 with my Logitech G Pro. Makes you wonder how new the game really is or if they just like putting that in their games.

Not happy about no livery editor, some of those liveries are straight up boring and not a whole ton to choose from either.

I believe I’m waiting on this game. I was worried it was all for PC then quick let’s make it work on PS5 too for a little more moola.

One thing I hope they borrow from T10 is adding the new tracks to existing events each time. (where it makes sense.)

Little tip for anyone on Android phone (not sure if it's available on Iphone) watching YouTube, download Brave browser, zero ads 😎
I recommend SmartTube. I use it on Chromecast TV but I believe there’s an Android version too.

As for the content that’s out there, there’s likely a Day 1 (or Day 0) update to come on Monday/Tuesday.

Most games get one last optimisation pass right before the finish line.

In fact that’s probably why there’s no reviews yet, only previews.

"It's unfinished. It's buggy as hell, especially the GT3's"

Because of the messages in this thread saying creators are talking about the game, I pulled up the first video suggested by YouTube and it was Random CallSign doing a Livestream

Not sure how long he had already been live but that wow above were the first words I heard.

I know it's early but it made me sad.

I'll wait til I get my own hands on it to form an opinion. Sim influencers are mostly intolerable. I'm watching someone now and it's painful. Whining and complaining after seemingly playing for 10 mins. Jump in a car, do half a lap, immediately come to a conclusion that the car or game is garbage. And then you have the chat on top of that. Ugh, it's just swarms of sheep and bandwagoning idiots. Everything is doom and gloom.

Interesting on the full event lengths and detail. Is that scalable or is every race like 50 laps etc?

This is a huge let down. With such little content already in the game and no super top notch graphics, a 32 car grid setup should easily be doable for a game like this on console at all times. This is on the newest systems and on PC...what's the excuse? It's looking like this game will need loads of work through updates and such just like FM23 did 🫤
