Yep this is my first big disappointment from what I have seen come out so far today. Renders single player multi class racing virtually useless.

Supposedly has all to do with the AI running the same physics system as the player, hence multiplayer and online can support 32 on console but single player can't.

Won't affect my decision to pre-order but I feel this is something they really should have been telling us more than 4 days before the launch. Everything has been about 32 car grids and up to 4 class racing.
Why do you think they wait until the last minute. Their sarcastic replies on social media make them seem like their sim racing making gods. But here we are with all kinds of issues.

Sure sounds good though. Haha

That's a lot of LIVE.

If Ian joins one (3 bottles of wine down) and it's as good as the stream he invaded before it'll be a great watch (the one he did it for with Project Cars is essential viewing, genuinely how I'd market this game if I were them - he'd likely tell all about the whole process, and let us know what's coming). Maybe he will for launch?

16 cars in a single player race is very disappointing. GT7 has 20. Maybe that will change with time
But GT doesn't have weather on all tracks does it? There is always gonna be limitations on console. - Although I wouldn't be happy if I had a PS Pro.

I do have a Pro.
This game is supposed to be enhanced on it, can’t see much evidence from the Youtube vids.

The game does look to have potential, for single class offline and the multiplayer. Just not right now and not at full price.

Traxion vid a few posts up. Some of the drivers in the race do get penalties, will have to watch a bit closer to see how & why.

PC2💪

Still a great racer

That one too!

But, if they're running the same physics on AI cars as the player car, I can see how they'd run into some hardware limitations. One major criticism of PC2 (and likely a bunch of other games) is the AI runs a simplified model which makes for inconsistent performance based on track and weather conditions. So I can see how they got here. Not entirely happy about it but I'd rather that I suppose.

There's one console game I can think of that has 24 cars, TOD and weather on all tracks....
If you're talking about Forza, I think their workaround was the way it went from dry to wet within the 'same pre-set conditions'. Like it never seems to me like a hot sunny day to a cloudy rainy day. I'm not defending PMR (or knocking T10), just more relieved they seem to have considered the framerate on console. I could be wrong and have my pitchfork out like some others.

As an Xbox player I decided to not get this game on Day 1, I will probably wait until January at least before I decide. Let the hype die down, let a few updates/patches roll out, and hopefully more info will be rolled out by then as to what they intend to add to the game and fix next year beyond the 4 expansions we know of. There are some things I see that I like such as the car roster, good usage on the controller, deep career mode and car sounds but beyond that it looks like a work in progress. Not necessarily a bad thing but experiencing this recently from a another title, I rather just wait until things get ironed out some before I drop some money.

They’re using the Youtubers as last minute quality control. That’ll go down well.

Being serious it’s pretty bad marketing to send out review codes in this state. Very poor first impressions they’re giving for a lot of people, and those people will never read all these Discord posts promising fixes.
