Seems like the patch 1.5 has a new bug where collisions cause a temporary loss of FFB. New patch fill fix some stuff, but will break some other stuff. That’s not unlike pCARS. It’ll take a while before the game is stable, that’s for sure.

Anyone can take a look on settings I tweaked for Dualsense:

Dualsense settings are from Global Force Feedback Gain to Haptic Strength, isn't?

Some tips, driving feeling is very poor, with terrible controller support!

This makes Forza look like a game from the future graphics wise. I’m on console so limited on racing games but do enjoy Forza. On a controller it handles sublime . It’s rock solid 4k at 60fps with a grid of 24 cars.
Forza Horizon 5 is on another planet graphics wise. I think calling PMR a PS3 game graphically is giving it too much credit. They’ve used the wrong game engine with Giants.,I was so looking forward to this but glad I’ve held off buying it.
Yeah, Forza blows it out the water.

However, not to defend the game, but I think people forget how bad jaggies were last gen. (that's my experience revisiting PC 2 on my SX anyway.) Although the replays 😬

In the words of Jesse Pinkman…

HE CAN’T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT!

I honestly can’t wait for Giants Software to close in a year and a half and Bell and his boys to go form another studio that somehow gets injected enough capital to fund another broken and half finished racing sim called “Project Motor Cars” or something.

How Bell and his team have suffered through so many disastrous launches and seemingly learned nothing over the years is kind of nuts to me.

Forza Motorsport was criticized for MUCH less.

How sad.
To be faiiirrrrr, I would expect a first party game bankrolled by the richest company on Earth to be good and take the fight to Gran Turismo. It's amazing how it didn't even come close and gets rightfully clowned on (so much so that we now have an entire subreddit based on that "Built from the ground up" BS).

I think it's fair to give this game some leeway considering where it's coming from, but after looking at all the reviews, they didn't even come close to PC2 from 2017. It looks like I could boot up my XBOX ONE from 2013 and get a better experience :indiff:

Second race done. The FFB is definitely there, just the like the weight isn't there on this 964. Like lateral load I guess. I bumped up some steering setting in the car setup by like .10 and I think it made it a little stiffer. The detail felt good on a track like Sebring though.

But I'm conflicted about this stuff now because my Elise has awesome steering feel but it's not every detail in the road like games make it out to be. And it's not super heavy, but also it has small tires and front is light. You really only feel the weight or pull of the wheel change when you're going over like cambered roads/when the weight on one tire is different than the other. Hard to explain. Then again, I haven't driven it on something like Sebring (its a goal 🤞) which is a very rough surface. But FFB is a whole other rabbit hole.

Dropped it to 1440 res, framerate didnt seem to get any better, and somehow the whole thing looked worse, not just the res. It was like LODs on textures and stuff got worse. Bumped those up to 200%. Really need Digital Foundry to dissect this game and figure out wtf is happening.

Please, show me where, cause this sounds hilarious lol

Xbox series X...
Try to play with the Audi 90, in zolder... And then again in Project cars 2...
And you will be amazed... How much better Project cars 2 is...

I've got some thoughts on the game, but I disagree with this.

And Cyberpunk 2077 was supposed to be game of the year.

Also this is kinda funny.

Ian Bell and the official PMR page on Xitter are doing a very constructive thing on launch day when there’s tons of issues… blocking people with issues about the game.

Cool.

What did he write that got him blocked?

That's my opinion. But I also respect yours. 😇

Frame rate, colours, graphics (4k option in pcars2), envolvment in the race with the AI, no stuttering, no frame drops...
Only the Sound is better in Project motor racing.

Tried also in the Nürburgring... Where's the sense of speed? Where the track details...
It's this bad.

This is from a guy who bought the rennsport and now this...
And heavily raced in cars 1 and 2.
Total disappointments...

I hope both get improved.
For real.
