My Fanatec CSL DD is working just fine for me, feels really good with the FFB, details from running over kerbs and such are slightly undercooked but nothing major at all, it drives superbly
I also have a Fanatec CSL DD and I can hear the kerbs but I can't feel them. After I stopped last night I then found a YouTube video of a CSL DD owner that showed his settings. If I play again tonight I'm going to try them.

It seems a few people are enjoying it with the right car which is good news. Hopefully they can sort things out and be playable for everyone in the new year.
I saved my Microsoft Rewards Points for this game. Like an idiot I cashed them in so I’ve only got three months before I have to spend them. Hopefully by then it will be much improved. I’m sure they’ll work hard on it.
Any Xbox controller setting really appreciated.
I’m hoping mods will add championships to single player. Can we share car set ups in the mod section. I’m hopeless at set ups and always used shared tunes in Forza.
In PCars wasnt there an app with share car set ups if I remember right
There's some under Downloads/Vehicle Set Ups

Sadly couldn't find one for my Maserati. (Or they're disabled during the challenges) It's a nightmare in the lower gears without TC.

Someone described the game on controller as the Dark Souls of racing games, that's my experience with this car "NOOOooo!" Although I haven't chucked the controller at the wall - yet

PS5 Pro w Fanatec DD+ and GT3/PBME wheel

used these settings:

MX5 at lime rock - felt pretty good actually much better than I was expecting based on most of the comments. And I have driven PC2 recently and this is much better FFB and even cockpit view graphics than PC2

Yes AI are kinda dumb, damage is weird, replays are ugly and there are bugs but so far the feel while driving is quite decent so hopefully they will improve it

Also ITM enabled on CONSOLE!! would be nice if it worked well - but still have to give a prop for that

I have been testing the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup (PS5 Controller for the moment) and it was quite twitchy even a slight touch of the brake the back swings out so I went and downloaded the first community set up (in mod hub for GT3/4 & 992) cars it says it includes over 50 set ups. The 992 GT3 Cup now drives much better so might be worth others trying the set up to see if makes a difference especially controller players. I had some good laps with cars up to GT4 but I will go back to the MX-5 for the moment as that is a great little car and handles really well.

Well, only the rev counter lights work for me.
The screen doesn't work. I have everything updated except the steering wheel because of the gear shift problem in the v2.5.
Did you try Fullforce?

Well so far after playing almost one car of each categories, all I can say is : it was hard to stop playing :-)

I've only do time attack ATM with default FFB on PS5 pro with a TGT2, put the box it is pretty good (despise a granular feel and disturbing vibrations)

Physics seems fine apart LMH, GT are OK too, just strange behavior when downshifting and braking

Sound is really good

Graphics, it's ok while playing, feel blank in standard condition (sunny at 12) otherwise the game show some colors, it's pretty basic but not that bad

So far it's mostly positive and I do not regret my purchase, there are problems sure, lack of polish ok, but far far from the mess some are describing

Took the Cougar to Lime Rock and felt great. AI is on 75 but boy I am slow. Probably driving way beyond 😂 way below that is.....the cars limit but takes a while...

Is this more like TOCA1 for PS1 or more like Project Cars 2.1?
It's giving me TOCA1 vibes with better graphics. I'm would love to get in the 964(I actually bought some 964s in GT7 to make a mock 964 Trophy), GTO and Group 5 cars. You all are nearly getting me there.

I really need to wait til December 4 to see how much more time I'll be spending with GT7. Might have to wait til the V8 Pack. I think that might be best for me.

As of its release version, Project Motor Racing’s singleplayer experience is severely lacking and quite frankly nothing to recommend because of this. Playing bumper cars with AI that ignores the player car simply is not fun, nor does it mirror reality.
And as we mentioned when we announced that we would delay our review and when Rennsportreleased earlier in November: We cannot base a review on promises about what’s to come later. It’s about the product that is actually released – and in its released state, Project Motor Racing honestly feels half baked.

There are parts of it that are very enjoyable and promising: The driving feel in older cars is a big plus, so is the crossplay between platforms, and the selection of cars and classes is very interesting. Similarly, the online multiplayer gives sim racers a lot to do, be it in a more casual style via the Social Races or more competitive via Ranked Racing. Plus, and this is something that needs to be mentioned in 2025, the online infrastructure is completely free, unlike with some of PMR’s competitors in the sim racing space.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work in its full scope at the time of writing this review, which essentially only leaves custom lobbies as something to do in PMR right now.
A pretty decent summary of where things stand.

The AI makes the career pretty much a non-starter.

The multiplayer looks good in theory but has server issues so doesn’t really work at the moment.

It looks like you can have fun hotlapping some of the older cars, but that’s about it for the game at the moment. If that’s good enough for you then great, but for a lot of people it’s not enough by a long way.

It definitely looks better on PC2. At least in this comparison. What was the engine?

Besides graphics we would have to consider if PC2 engine had full day night cycles, rain and other effects.

I have Logitech RS50 and Pro pedals and major issues with, well everything, it’s a disaster, aside from the wait of scrolling through each available race and the time to “travel” to the start. I feel as they have stolen $100 from me with the deception that this game was great and ready to drop, it isn’t. The same day apology they posted, although timely, seemed, I’ll try to be polite, disingenuous at best. I shall try to find settings for my wheel/pedals and hopefully car setups that may help but the frustration of attempting to drive on track with the games AI is infuriating. They should be embarrassed for releasing this game in this state! I don’t think I can get a refund from PlayStation so please redeem yourselves and fix this game…end of rant, thank you all for letting me get this off my chest 😁🤬

This is an interesting video. In all respects PCars2 looks and sounds better

PMR looks desaturated when put up against PC2. Dunno if that's a mark for or against it if it's something subjective, but holy crap man those replays on PMR are horrendous  should've just pulled a NASCAR 25 and not include one.

At this point. I wish they would have had access to the Madness Engine. AMS2 is simply marvelous.
My mouth is still gaping open in awe after the experience with PMR last night.
I don't even know what to say.

Their apology was idk, the “we appreciated your feedback no matter how much it stings sometimes” like a go easy on us thing. I think they forgot people paid hard earned money for the game.

Is anyone else having issues with the ffb being super grainy/notchy? I'm on PS5 with a Thrustmaster wheel, and the ffb is really notchy/grainy in normal driving. I've been trying to fix it in the settings, but I've had no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Yes, same issue here. T598.

I'm currently demoing the game myself on PC, but the more I hear and see about this game, the more it sounds exactly like their attitude towards the original Project CARS. Whether it be brushing aside valid criticisms, hyping things to unsustainable (and unrealistic) heights, and basically biting off more than they could ever hope to chew — it's the same heuristical approach to "problem-solving" that's always been there.

I specifically recall an instance during PCARS on the WMD board where they were looking for pictures for the McLaren P1's engine bay and block, and I provided those pictures to them albeit from Forza Motorsport 5 but provided them all the same. Therein lies the issue, it wasn't that the pictures were provided, it was that they came from Forza Motorsport, as if Turn 10 didn't accurately reproduce those details in painstaking clarity. Very little changed between the pre-production P1 featured in FM5 to what would eventually launch.

It's just one example of their blatant, increasingly undeserved arrogance. There are a few other examples but I'm less clear on recall those exactly so I'll leave them out, for obvious reasons.

Hubris claims all in the end. It never fails and it never misses.

PCars2 used the madness engine. It does have day/night cycles and rain
PC2 also has Livetrack (dynamic rubbering in/out, and dynamic water moving down the track, drying, etc.). It's a highly enjoyable and feature complete title, even today. And it runs 60 FPS on a friggin' handheld, like my ROG Ally.

I've played both titles back-to-back and I think the controls for gamepad as well as the car models are better on PMR. Sound is a coin-toss. But everything else goes to PC2 in my not so humble opinion. What kills the immersion most for me is the flat lighting along with half-finished tracks (see also that video someone posted earlier). It's just not pleasing to look at and certainly doesn't match any of the in-game screenshots or pre-release screenshots. Is it unplayable? No, far from. But performance is iffy given the looks. I think this title needs a lot of work still, but right now if you can afford only one racing title, there are a lot better options than this.

I used to frequent their message board in the Project CARS days and for what its worth, I behaved myself and never got sucked into the negativity, handbags, power games and general aggro, but my God did I see it. I saw pretty much everything others have mentioned - valid, constructive criticism being dismissed/angrily shot down/resulting in bannings, fawning over ‘the wookie’, over-aggressive and arrogant moderators…..I basically gave up actually posting very quickly just because I couldn't be arsed, and used it simply to check up information/opinions on patches that were released from there on in. Life’s too short for that ****.

That said, that has zero bearing on the actual game. I couldn't care less whether I actually like the developers, they could all be serial killers for all I care as long as the game is good. I’m more than happy to buy this if they patch and improve some of the current issues because watching some of these videos getting posted (albeit mainly the ones without AI cars to mess everything up!) there is clearly something decent there underneath it all. But probably only after I know categorically that those improvements will actually happen, which seems a fair deal to me. Fingers crossed.
