Yes and no. It'd apparently there but not working right.
Thanks. I really want to try it but I don’t want to spoil the experience and get all pissed off by it being riddled with stuff like that leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I bought GT5 in a greatest hits bin. Hardly any updates were released for it then if any and it helped. Thanks

Anybody know if Logitech Trueforce on PS5 is implemented yet or not? That’s another thing holding me back.

There’s so much complaints about graphics I keep reading and hearing YouTube does it no favours I really think they should have some kind of one hour demo so we can just download it and see for ourselves what it looks like. I’m hesitant but for all I know seeing it on my setup it might not be all that bad.
Oh the graphics complaints are fully justified, it doesn't necessarily look like a PS3 game like some have suggested, but the game performs terrible in relation to how it looks.

I've got a 6700xt, which is I guess low end at this point, but I can run LMU at max on a single screen and get 120+fps, Raceroom is similar, both games at the moment look much nicer achieving that.

Even ACEvo, which doesn't perform very well, does look far better on my system at a similar frame rate.

THey need to sort out 2 things, one being the performance, and 2 the lighting model, much of the environment looks flat and washed out, and the lighting seems very artificial at different times of the day.

I'd very much enjoy it if they did, because I'm having an absolute blast modding the game

This is why they should release some kind of hour locked demo so people can decide because there’s so many conflicting opinions on the graphics. Some say it’s reasonable (doesn’t sound promising) and others say it’s horrible. Hopefully this is something they can optimize because it sounds like you should be seeing better graphics compared to the other games. Thanks

I;d9nt know, back to back with ACC and PMR they look similar. ACC seems more pixelated if anyone gets my understanding. Actually, PMR has a Shift/Shift 2 type of look as the cars go ‘round in replay. I do like and appreciate the tv cameras for my love of replays.

PC or Console? I’m on console. ACC doesn’t look too too bad on PS5 imo.

They could add it to the ps plus premium trial, but they won't.

On PS5P. No, ACC doesn’t look bad. I’m saying it has that similar look like the cars are on a frame. Not like the cars look solid like in GT and Forza. The models in pc sim games look squared off on the edges than gradually rounded in games built on consoles, if you can understand what I mean.

I'm on PS5, and can only say if you want to drive, especially in cockpit cam, it's absolutely fine. Not GT7 standard, but perfectly OK. Even better if you set your racing at dawn/dusk, and nighttime racing is great. Flat, clear daytime lighting does look a little washed out/boring though (which if you think about it, kinda mirrors real life). And speaking of mirrors, terrible, had to switch off the HUD one as too distracting, worst graphical aspect in the game.
If you're big on watching replays, well, probably best stay the hell outta Dodge until they tidy things up there. No idea if you can take photos or suchlike in the game, but if you can I suspect what applies to replays will apply to that too.

You are clearly very interested in the game; if you're into the actual driving I'd recommend biting the bullet, there are some great cars and although it's not as polished as GT7 the driving experience does feel more real, more raw. (Tho as a pad user I'm finding there's a fine line between finding it challenging or frustrating and I currently have one foot on either side of that line tbh.)

Edit: back to graphics, I think the track surfaces are probably accurate, but look too light, like rivers, often almost mirroring the grey skies. If they made the tracks just a couple of notches darker (more 'tarmaccy') across the board it'd improve things, probably even replays. Trees, grass and other environmental stuff is fine.

Well then a lot of it depends on when they actually properly support trueforce and fix their replays.
Yeah, the mirrors are ridiculous.
I saw a post about the mirrors and yeah I thought it had to be fake. Guess it wasn’t. Almost looked like original NES haha. Ok maybe PS1.

Only the rear cameras are fine.

However, the graphics are crisp. There’s no fuzziness. The sharpness and definition are there. Again, can’t compare it to GT and Forza styles. For how this developer model cars, it probably should be less Ridge Racer? Not arcadey, but it’s just a different style of modelling.

Love this Mustang livery.

Yes, with the Haptic Feedback slider disable the FFB motor is always little notchy on my GT DD PRO, with some strange vibrations (even on the settings menu, out of the races). Apparently this issue is only with the PS5 game (and not on PC).
I'm on PC and CSL DD and I get that notchy feeling if I set the alignment boost to .40 like has been suggested in several videos. It also has a very hard snap back to center so I'm leaving it at 0 right now.

Have many other titles ever tried anything new for radars?

I remember FM8 had the weird arrows all around the 'back' of us telling us which direction and arrow lengths for how close someone was to us, but it wasn't well received and they added a standard one. It took up a lot of screen space though so it for me as better placed over the map when someone was near, but sometimes that had its own problems.

Ive tried turning ACC's other vehicle volume up but it doesn't really cut it for a radar but a well tuned model probably could.

If something like FM8's could be done more like an FPS shooter when we are hit to indicate which direction, but not using red for injury and maybe more of just making the screen darker in that direction, a vignette to act like a sense of danger it could be more immersive?

Or an actual radar gadget on our dashboards rather than just a gfx overlay that feels a bit like cheating?

I drove the Porsche 935 around Nurburgring GP last night and it was one of the most thrilling things I've ever done in a racing game. It honestly felt like I was wrestling a beast with too much power and not enough grip. Shockingly, I only threw the car off the track twice through the same right-hand kink in the last sector. It's a ridiculous piece of kit but it's still manageable if you know what you're doing. However the brakes did feel a little too good, which I feel is something of a trend with this game. Still, I had a great time.

Love this Mustang livery.
I have noticed some cars look a bit off like how those iPad car games look, something is slightly out of proportion. That one Vette looks really chunky in the front end for some reason. The IMSA Camaro looks a wee bit off somehow.

Doesn't mean much, but damn the thumbnails of the cars look so cool when flipping through the car list. If it was a side scrolling mini game that would be awesome.

I think it’ll be half a year before it’s sorted out for me by the sounds of it.
