Played a bit with a few cars and tracks, daytime looks nice but when it gets dark the game just looks kinda weird :/

Controller sensitivity is really high by default, gotta check the settings to see if i can get it a bit more to my liking.

Menus from 2.0 look pretty good, car and track selection look really nice.

This game can be so frustrating. I gave it another shot tonight hoping that the rebalanced AI might make it easier to figure out the number to run with. It didn't. Tried Porsche 992 Cup at Zolder at the number I used before. First off going to Zolder was a mistake. That track is still total chaos at that first chicane. Ran practice and I was miles off. Dead last. Quit the race, moved the AI down 5 points and THEY WENT EVEN FASTER!!!!!! How in the hell does that happen?? Started the 2nd race dead last also. Made it 3 laps and gave up on it because of cars flying all over the place. Quit that race and went to CMP. Started 23rd out of 24 places. On lap 5 all of the AI cars pull into the pits so I'm done with 992 Cup until they figure out how to get the AI cars to finish at least 10 laps.

I need for them to have the option to just start a race in a certain starting position. This practice situation is just ridiculous. Have to start towards the back even at a very low AI number. The AI cars just beat and bang each other and you. I still run the fastest lap of the race by a good half second or sometimes even more. But you're so compromised because of the starting position and the chaos of the AI running into each other. It's just not good.

Agree. Even Gran Turismo 6 did way better than Project Motor Racing somehow.

Finally gave this game a try last night since it's free to play this weekend and yeah man, it's not that good. Maybe I need to play it some more since I only tried a handful of cars for about an hour but the first thing that came to mind is the polish and graphics. This is like an early Xbox one game to the eyes, nothing compared to FM'23 which is what I played right before this lol. Probably didn't help. Cars feel a bit more arcade like when turning or maneuvering and just the overall polish is not that good. Granted im still playing on a 1080p TV but still, sheesh. It's almost like a project cars 2.5. I'll give it some more tries but so far not too impressed

Looking at the patch notes again Porsche 992 Cup HAS NOT had it's AI rebalanced and adjusted yet so that's why it was still so bad. So that was my mistake passing judgement on something that hasn't been fixed yet. So I'm just going to leave that class alone until I see something has been issued to try and fix it.

However I did also run a GT3 race with the rebalanced and adjusted AI at Nurburgring GP and I couldn't tell any difference from before the update.

I also don't understand how each patch comes out and yet they can't fix the track limits issue. I would think that would have a higher priority than throttle response.

Me neither. I stay away from longer races. 10 laps is my max or 30 minutes in games that are timed races. If I'm running Nordschleife it's only 3 laps.

Porsche 992 Cup is the only class I've seen it happen with.
Ah. I run lots of races in the 45-60 minute range and I was sorta scratching my head because I hadn't seen that either but I also have not run the 992's. I wonder if it's supposed to be a class requirement or something but they bodged the player having a mandatory pit or something.

I don't remember it happening prior to update 1.7 maybe. Or it might have even been 1.6. I don't touch fuel levels so if it were something with a class requirement wouldn't the player also be so low on fuel they would have to pit? Plus you would think anything should be able to do 10 laps on any track except the Nordschleife.

But now another strange incident has happened. 10 laps, Derby National, MX-5 Cup. I have about a 10 second lead on the AI pack. I start lap 9. About halfway through the lap I see the time difference start to soar to +40 seconds to 2nd place. I'm thinking they must have all pitted like the Porsches. The race finishes and my car does it's automated cool down lap and returns to the pits. But the finishing screen only shows that I have finished the race. The AI cars never finish. I ran the race again just to see if it wasn't a one off incident but the same scenario happened again. I let the screen just sit there for almost 15 minutes and it never changed.

Did you check the replay?

Did you check the replay?
I ran the race again twice this afternoon. The first time I did check the replay but since the camera was following me it wasn't showing what was happening with the field. But the second time I ran it I was a little further ahead and as I was coming through that final chicane on to the front straight I could see the last of the AI cars exiting pitlane so that's what was happening, they were all pitting.

I also ran Porsche 992 Cup at CMP again and once again they all pitted on lap 7. I don't understand what's happening with the AI having to pit but only in these two classes so far. I've ran MX-5 cup at a couple of other tracks and they didn't pit.

If you do it again, remember you can follow an AI car in the replay as well, so you can watch it pit
