I like the new mod track. It’s a good effort. It feels kinda 80s German touring car with the big concrete walls and the structure across the track plus it’s quite fast but the corners have quite interesting profiles and keep you on your toes. I ran a couple of Porsche Supercup type races on it and had fun even if I ended up screwing up in both races. It’s moments like that where you can see the potential in this game to be really decent. I’m also a fan of the new DLC Super GT cars and Aida, love the fact that it has two different gens of the cars and they feel, by PMR standards, pretty decently drivable and set up out of the box which is nice.

So there are definitely crumbs of positivity there now. I have to be honest, most of my attempts to really get into PMR have failed so far, either it’s wild AI behaviour or obvious in-race bugs that end my attempt or it’s just frustration at things like the stutter/slowdown. I’m still trying though. The content is fantastic (need Le Mans, though), the experience so far, for me sitting on a PS5 gamepad, is so far below something like GT7 in terms of overall polished, entertaining gaming experience, that I’ve struggled somewhat with finding reasons to want to play it.

I bought this as was half price other week , anyway was playing yesterday full grid of 29 cars, I was driving down a track then suddenly everything went super slo mo like smooth slow motion then came back again.:scared::confused:.Anybody had this?

Your CPU is struggling to keep up. You’ll have to lower the number of AI.

Lowering the number to 16 could help.
Thanks guys im sure its slowed a bit when just me in practice aswell, other games seem great...i thought my rig was still ok hardware wise...

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor
RAM: 64.0 GB
Storage (4): SSD - 232.9 GB,SSD - 238.5 GB,+2 more

Graphics card
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
Direct3D feature level: 12_1
CUDA cores: 8960
Graphics clock: 2588 MHz

Would you recomend a new cpu??

The issue is mostly that the game is way more CPU intensive than most game. That said, S4 are working on improving that.

I was scrolling on the US PS App and I have PMR in my wishlist and they dropped the price to 49.99 for the base game and 79.99 the deluxe edition.

OK been comparing this to assetto corsa evo, on evo, i canr run 40 cars in a race super solid smooth no issues, but one or two cars on project motor racing, get stutters...must be the game not my system...i think,..:odd::odd::odd:

It can be both, the game is CPU intensive and because they decided to run the AI on the same physics plus it lacks optimisation, it's tanking your CPU.

Maybe not on PC but if you have too many AI cars on console it makes your own cars physics really weird. It goes back to normal when you lower the grid size to approx 16
That only affected the og xbox one/s & ps4, didn't happen with the one x or ps4 pro & certainly doesn't happen with the series s/x or ps5/pro

I've also never had that issue with the ps4 slim
I read that both base consoles couldn't handle a full car grid, (in fact I'm sure SMS even admitted it at one stage, could be wrong) maybe because the ps4 was slightly more powerful than the xbox one it only happened under extreme weather conditions so you didn't notice it as much whereas the xbox one version couldn't even cope on a dry day.

I do remember the physics feeling bad once I changed to extreme weather so that's probably what was going on cause in dry or light rain conditions, my car physics felt normal.

Seems like PS5 port of Project Motor Racing is slightly more stable than Xbox one counterpart. 😅
No I was referring to PCars 2 that had issues when running a full grid on the Xbox One. No issues with Series X and as for PMR, I've not had any stuttering or slowdown like some people have.
