Me and my friends is really enjoying the game.
What are the issues everybody seems to have?
The physics, FFB, tracks and car selection is great.
Have not experienced any crashes and bugs. ( PS5, GT DD PRO )
( I dont play online )

Everything in bold plus, graphics, AI and career mode.

I'll elaborate, and this is an amalgamation of issues everyone is having, plus my experience too.

Physics; inconsistent is the nicest way to describe it, some cars/classes feel real good (NGT, 992, MX5, GT), some feel absolutely terrible (GTE, GT4, LMDH). The terrible ones have this overriding feeling of being disconnected from the car and the road, where the result doesn't match the input and are frustrating in the extreme to drive.

FFB; matches the above, either fantastic or utterly awful.

Tracks; I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with what is there, other than there just isn't enough.

Crashes and bugs; if you have avoided any crashes or bugs then you can't have played it much at all. It is riddled with bugs and the reports of crashes are plentiful.

Graphics; they're inoffensive most of the time but there are too many times where it looks like a 10 year old game, and sometimes even worse. Textures are bland, tracks are devoid of life, cars look plasticky and the anti-aliasing and pop-in is not good for a 2026 title.

AI; functional, but pretty useless. Still, better than launch, it is possible to have some decent races but it again depends on the class and circuit.

Career mode; promised much, delivered little. Could have been the differentiator, turned out to just be a pointless slog of mismatched events that barely utilise the already small track list, and frequently fails to make use of the already too small grid sizes, the NGT UK championship? You get the full 16 car grids, the NGT World Championship? 12..what's the point of that?

Online; when you can find races, it is unstable, connection issues galore, ultimately, it just isn't fun.

There's so much potential in each area, it needed to launch with minimal issues to maximise that potential, but now with no budget, tiny team and already issues with the DLC, I fear that potential will never be fully realised.

That was a lot 😊.
We choose cars and tracks that we like, the FFB is great and we really enjoy the game.
Seems I ( we ) are the only ones 😊
Hope they fix it so you all can enjoy the game.

Have a nice weekend.

I'm very glad you're enjoying the game but like Magpie said, there are issues and and the potential is there but the game needs improvement. Hopefully the devs can get the game to where it needs to be but im very cautiously optimistic. Hope you have a nice weekend too.

You used to be so optimistic. What happened?

The game launched 🤣.

Jokes aside, I have put a lot of time into, given it every chance, hoping that the next update would fix x, y and z, the reality is, 6 months on, I'm still waiting.

Since it launched I have also been able to delve into Automobilista 2, Le Mans Ultimate and RaceRoom, and whilst they all have their own issues, they also highlight how far behind PMR is.

I also have a great time on PMR on PS5 pro with a wheel, there is still room for improvement and there is still too much bug for a game that have been launch 6 month ago

But devs are working hard to fix and improved it, as a console player this something really different with a far more detailed and intense racing experience than the other competitors (on console)

Just wish they don't make it too accessible and easy and leave it as it was at launch, raw, violent and unforgiving old cars

Yesterday, after they said that there will be no patch on Friday (int. Holiday), neither Saturday bcs is weekend, I answered them: how could Pearl Abbys released big updates on Weekend, Holiday and normal day, fixing game with 5-6 big updates...

After is that, I don't see their discord anymore.
Now they showed their real face.

But I don't need their discord, can live without it.

Maybe they have found a issue and postponed it to next week until it's fixed
They deserve a WE too !
I found they deliver quite fast, we had almost a patch every 2 weeks, this is good 👍

It was for the track. They called Okayama whatever they did, Takimiya, and got called out on it. They had no license for it. The deal is now being arranged between them.
Just like what they did for Silverstone or Mid-Ohio.
Well it wasn't for the track despite how sure of it you were...

DLC is back up on Steam under a new name and the cars have had slight name changes, and Takiyama is still called Takiyama. Super GT and GT500 were the issues.

Wow. You're really into this. lol
Weird that I'll say it even again. I just said what I saw on a screen shot. Acting like I was the one who wrote it, came up with it and then tried to spread the rumor is just bizarre. I don't have a horse in this race and whether PMR becomes good one day or not doesn't change anything for me.
However, you can't see that this could of came down to, you either license it all or none of it. Seems they had to go with the none of it route. This doesn't prove that the track wasn't the issue. The track is exactly why they had to come to the table to license and they went with no official naming all together because they didn't have the funds.

For the current cars simple as Class One.

For the old cars Nippon GT / J. Grand Touring or something like that.

If you can't use "500" or "GT", then Japan Icons is fine, why get complicated?:sly:

Prototype doesn't make much sense.

Does it really matter if they're called Japanese Prototypes? If that's what it takes to have the cars in the game due to a licensing issue then that's fine.
At least the cars are still called what they actually are.
If it's a choice between calling them something similar and being able to drive them, or sticking to the official class name and having them removed, it's a no brainer really

The good news is that the DLC is available again, regardless of its name.

But I still find it odd that they're calling it Japanese Prototypes, since there was an All Japan Sports Prototypes Championship in which Group C cars participated.

I think the dumbest thing about the new names is the Class 1 cars are called JP1, and the early-00s GT500s are called JP2... like the old GT500 cars are somehow a subclass or the class below the modern ones...

Either way this all doesn't make much sense, and they really should have known they needed a license from Autobacs for the GT500 name before slapping it on everything.

But yeah, I would have called the modern cars Class One or C1, and the old cars JGT or something. It's one letter away from probably another lawsuit but it should work.

I'm guessing at least on PC though there will be a mod in short order to restore the proper names of everything.

I played this afternoon to check out the update. I tried two areas of my biggest complaints, Zolder and 992 Cup. I ran the 964 cup at Zolder since they said they had changed it's handling and it's AI. Couldn't really tell if the handling was different. The AI didn't dive bomb that first chicane like before the update so I guess that's a positive. However, once again, in a 10 lap race, every AI car pulled into the pits on lap 7. Don't understand that.

So once that happened I quit that race and thought I would try the 992 cars at CMP since the last time I ran there that exact same thing happened. Pre update on 65 AI I got out practiced by nearly 3 seconds so I started last but I got to about 8th place before all of the AI pulled into the pits. Post update I got out practiced by 3.6 seconds on the same AI number and I think I finished 13th about 21 seconds behind the winner but the AI did not pit.

But that got me incredibly angry so I went back and ran it again but dropped AI to 55. This time I got out qualified by 2+ seconds and had to start last again. Made it up to 6th I think about 3.5 seconds behind the winner and my fastest lap was only .2 behind the winner's fastest lap. But still that was on 55!!!! FIFTY****INGFIVE!!! Not 95, not 85 but 55!!! So I have no clue how to find a competitive number. Maybe it's 25 or 15, something like that. It seems like each patch they make the AI gets faster and faster.

But for me the quicker they allow you just to run a race from your chosen starting position the better off I'll be. Get rid of this ridiculous required practice/qualifying garbage. If I could have started 8th or 10th like I usually do in other games I might would have a chance to win. But starting dead last in a race lasting only 10 laps isn't very fun.

I set a short race at Daytona yesterday, only 4 laps, with GT500 ( ok JP2 lol ) and they all pitted at the end of lap 3 which I thought was weird

Despite its flaws so far I had some fun with the game, especially the 964 Cup Car. As I have ready that they modified the handling of the Porsches I gave the 964 a go.

Man, is it me or did they change it to the worse? The sound is less aggressive and the driving feels less lively and less powered. Overall it is less of everything for me... anyone else with new impressions of the Porsches?!? (Oh, and the AI is significantly faster than before. Qualifying in career mode is ridiculous now!)
